Are income screenshots a must even with a traffic generation product?

It sure seems like it.

What's your take on this as a potential buyer or expert copywriter?

I've created a product aimed at helping people learn how to generate traffic to their sites. So I loaded it up with proof that I know how to generate traffic.

But it's converting under 2% which I know I can improve on. I have no income screenshots right now.

Is this what you would think might be missing?

I've been looking at other traffic generation products and most do put income screenshots in the copy.

I hesitated to do this because I think it looks a little shady to load up copy with how much money you make, but I guess in the end it doesn't matter what I think. If that's what it takes to convert at a higher rate I can do it.

Just looking for some feedback.

Thanks,

Lisa

Bingo! Just test it and let the market decide.

Right, but there are dozens of things I could test. I'd like to short-cut the time it takes me to get a minimum 2% conversion rate so I can open my affiliate program and feel comfortable asking affiliates to promote for me (knowing the marketing converts well).

Just looking for some feedback on whether or not the income proof is the one I'll start testing with. If I'm looking at a traffic generation program, I wouldn't need income proof, I'd just want proof of traffic, but I'm sure I think differently then most people reading my copy.

In that case the 2 most important things to test are:

      1. The Offer
      2. The Headline

      Focus there to start with.

      P.S. Do you have testimonials?

P.P.S. You may want to have a look at Paul Hancox's "Secrets of a 10% Conversion Rate" - amazing advice in there that should help you go over 2%.

I find offers without income proof to be refreshing - those will grab my interest more than the ones with checks and account stats.

However, if you are targeting a market that is not used to seeing earning proofs everyday on every other post, then you probably do need to get it on the page - it might make a big difference.

If you are posting a WSO though, I´m not sure the Warrior crowd would be as easily influenced as the average Joe

I can't speak to actual statistics on screenshot earnings, or checks with the names blurred but they mean absolutely nothing to me when making a decision to buy, FWIW. Good luck!

The Warriorforum crowd is slightly different than a crowd who is looking to generate more traffic to their website. Most people HERE will say that screenshots of income mean nothing to them because we see it so much, and after you buy your first product or two here and don't see the income shown on that salespage, you lose trust in the images. Plus, we all know they can be faked anyways.

However, like I said, two different crowds. Those images may be the only thing that convinces or pursuades this other crowd to actually purchase your product or service.

    Screenshots can't hurt.

I agree with the notion that income screenshots do make a difference. Try and put together a short and simple video of you logging into your account showing your proof of income rather than simply providing screenshots. This helps to dispel the suspicion that they may be fake.
