Why do people who can't write copy always think they know how "easy" a job is?

I was talking to my dad yesterday (I'm staying with my folks for the week).

I was out on the porch thinking and he's like "So this is what you do for a job?"

He meant it as a harmless joke.... since he's a coal miner and all (hard work).

Then I mentioned to him that my sales letters are 5 000 -10 000 words and rewrite them maybe 5 times til I'm satisfied with them.

He shut up after that

My point is that telling people how easy their job should be when you really have no idea is just dumb... regardless of what the 4-hour work week guy says.

All you end up doing is alienating good potential "employees".

  Well, you have to admit he has a good point. I don't care HOW many grueling hours you spend rewriting your copy, your job is not even in the same universe as something like coal mining.

Just fyi, you wrote-

It should be "all the stops" plural, right? Anyways, just thought I'd pass it on... I don't have enough posts to PM yet, lol.
