The Ultimate Problem Solver -- A Great Sales Letter!

Hey fellow warriors,

I was inspired by this quote that Dan Kennedy said he heard from Gary Halbert -- "Gary Halbert once said that there is no problem to which a great sales letter isn't the answer."

Thats so true.

I can't even count all the times when I've used a letter to solve a problem of my own. Before I even knew what copywriting was... I was doing in it in some form, shape or fashion.

I used letters to persuade girls to go out with me. I used letters to get friends to do me a huge favors for me. I even used letters to resolve problems I had with my family members.

I was shy back then so writing letters was my most effective method of communication.

And when I got into financial problems. And jumped into the internet marketing... you damn skippy, it was a sales letter that helped resolve my financial problems!

I encourage everybody to learn the art and science of sales copywriting. It's such powerful skill to have. I wish they would've taught it in elementary school, middle school, or at least high school. It's just so valuable and something that anybody can learn.

To be able to write your own check, amongst other things is like having freedom!

Whatever problems you have... Can be solved with a great sales letter

- Sam

Well Sam, congratulations. Letters are powerful, for sure. And it would be nice if they taught people how to write them in school. But even if they did, most wouldn't write as effectively as some folks do. For example, the way you write.

People can study writing all day and not get the outcome they want. And that's because they have little or no talent. But you have plenty and that's why your letters have solved many of your problems. Keep at it, you've got the stuff.

I got lucky in college and got to study persuasion. Although I'd have loved a sales class as a companion course.

Academic writing, making a case for one side, then playing devils advocate and adopting the other, that can be a superb writing training ground.

The other thing I've always wanted to see taught more in schools is media literacy.

Education about media bias on the right and left. And news gatekeeper bias in general.

    But I'm swerving off topic...

Yep, lots of exciting things going on for 2010. Will you be available January 12th to talk about SEO? I'm speaking at a local meetup that day and we're expecting to hit max capacity of about 100 people there. PM me if you want more details. It's right down there in Dallas just 2 exits north of I-30 and I-35/I-75. See ya.

I agree with your sentiment about writing great letters. I remember many times helping people rewrite letters, when trying to get some things done. So many time we think of a situation, and are overwhelmed. For me, sitting back and writing about the situation helps to reign in the whole scope of the situation.

Now if I could just get better at writing sales letters that actually bring me money...

I know I'm teaching it to my kids. All those poor unfortunate souls going to college to get a "real job" will be spending their money on letters written by my seed....MWUAHAHAHA!!

Sales letters are fun to write and read especially when the flow is incredibly soothing.

I have had an incredible experience writing sales letters and I found it really thrilling.

At first when I didn't knew how to write a sales letter, I often felt numb and felt as if "how will I ever learn to write a sales letter?". After researching I found out ways to do the same. And hey.. I love writing sales letters. I just love it.

Especially when my clients tell me .. you're getting me a great conversion rate, I just fall in love with life. If you want to write your paycheck, just visualize it and it will happen one fine day in the near future.
