email follow up

COPY WRITING

Hi all,

Hope this is placed in the correct area. When I write my follow up messages in my auto responder. Is it best to give all the information in the email or write a short email and link to a webpage?

Also what converts better. Plain text or html messages. Or is it just a case of testing as every niche is different.

It depends on your email. If you have a message that's quite large with lots of graphics etc it would be worthwhile linking to a web page. (It also allows you to place ads or banners etc on the page too). However, if its just a short message just use the autoresponder.

I have seen the best results with short emails that link to a web page.

Also, in my experience, text still wallops html. But test the heck out of this - it's probably different for your niche.

  In my experience, including all the information in the email works best. If the reader has to take the extra step of clicking on the link they may not bother to do so.
  
  For single emails, plain text works best (or HTML without images). For e-newsletters HTML is best.

html text is better.don't give all the information in the email,make it interesting,and then for the best part place a link to your website
