Seeking Help On Last Leg of Home Study Course

Hey warriors, I need your help. I'm currently trying to create a home study course package which includes multiple audio discs, a course manual and software. Here are the 2 things that are hanging me up:

1) Is there a service or company out there that will take my existing 120 pages of text turn it into a course manual format (building in sections for notes, adding in summary questions, etc.) Basically take my book and turn it into a home study course...

2) I've ordered fancy white plastic album cases for the CD's and can't seem to find a printer that specializes in printing covers for these types of cases.

Case 1: Vinyl Albums | DVD / CD | 1 to 3 Discs | Albums & Binders | Polyline Corp
Case 2: Vinyl Albums | DVD / CD | 3 to 6 Discs, full size | Albums & Binders | Polyline Corp

Any help would be awesome!!

Why order the covers and then find a printer? There's places out there that do both.

For creating manuals I use Help and Manual, but at around $500 it might be more than your budget?

You can do the typesetting yourself on Word. For printing there's numerous places around that do "print on demand" pretty cheap. Check out lulu.com or Cafepress.

So far I've only ordered the plastic cases. The reason I didn't go with an all-in-one service is that the pricing I found for that was 50-75% more than what I would pay if I just ordered the cases and the printed covers separately. I know time is money but I've got interns who can deal with inserting the covers into the cases. Also, I'm a newbie, so I'll count this as one of the many mistakes that Lie ahead for me =)

      Thanks for your suggestions!

Call your local printing companies. You'd be surprised at what they
can do. They can piggyback poster-sized things like you might
use for the covers on the tail-end of larger print runs for a big
client. They like to set up the press and keep it running because
they lose money when it isn't. Real printing is very hi-tech and
flexible. Call around locally and see what's available.

You can get CDs done on a 'print on demand' basis too. A number of my software clients use:

    CustomCD :: Services

Bit pricey if shipping to the UK but for US it's good.

They use cardboard sleeves rather than crystal cases but I've never heard of a customer complaining about that.

Maybe I'm missing something here but why don't you just create your own course manual? Who knows the material better than you? Wouldn't it make sense for you to create the questions or quizzes based on the instruction you've provided?

As far as 'notes' pages, they come at the end of a section or chapter where you have a lot of white space. If there's no white space, just designate a blank page. I've created lots of courses and this is the easy part. You can do it in Adobe Pagemaker, Word, Open Office... Lot of applications.
