I just had someone send me $17 on a dummy site I set up. The PayPal button was legit but I was just testing a WP theme and the site wasn't promoted or have any traffic. But this guy found it. Followed three links to get to it. Funny part is I'd even put a strikethrough on the price and written in CAPS next to it "FREE FOR THE FIRST 50" but still he hit the button. Think I might leave it as is and start promoting it.

Love the Disclaimer on the bottom of that flog - "This website is a parody - results not typical"

The interesting thing is that even though any reasonable person understands it's a parody... this site would still get attacked pretty heavily by the FTC.

At this point it would be laughable. But in front of the FTC, Kevin could always show our thread, as an obvious proof of parody.

Finally, he removed the Paypal button. There's Adsense, but hey, its not a big deal. So unless he sends paid traffic, Kevin should be fine.

It's not Adsense. That would definitely be against their TOS. It's ValTrk.com and they're running **** ads which Google won't allow anymore.

I'd say that's grounds for the FTC to attack it.

I'm not sure if you're saying they won't attack it because to do so would be ridiculous...

...or that since it's the FTC they may do so anyway.

We don't have the FTC, but our equivalent would probably be all over that... IF it was big enough to go after.
