If you're wondering who that is, it's Drayton Bird.

And I'm interviewing him tomorrow.

So, if you have any questions you'd like to ask him, feel free to post them here.

Oh, one thing to remember - Drayton doesn't hold back on anything, so I'd ask whatever burning question you have about marketing, especially direct marketing, and copywriting.

His copy has converted at more 70% for high ticket items.

Edit: I missed the fact you were interviewing him.

The title of the read suggested something else. Maybe do as the Carlton thread and change it to, what should I ask Drayton Bird? Because that might be why no one is asnwering this thread...?

Then go on to explain that he's one of the top modern marketers...etc

I thought this was a thread about who the best marketers of the modern age were and listing them.

I would go ask him something simple like:

What he feels are the secrets to his high conversion rates in his copy?

Jay Abraham of course. Lots of others though.

Rezbi... I'm listening to it as I write this.

You've done a bang-up job handing Drayton pertinent marketing questions for 2010 and then just letting him riff. And of course, he's a lovable character, so it's an entertaining listen all round.

        Thanks for this. Recommended.

Thanks, Ross. I had to rack my tiny little brain for those questions.

But I figured if I need them answered maybe others will, too.

I recently found out a very interesting statistic: Out of all the copy Drayton goes up against, he beats them 97% of the time.

Keep in mind he's had conversions of 70% plus.

One company has been using his control copy for years which converts at over 40%.

I found another interesting statistic: One of his promotions converted at more than 100%.

      How?

Every person who received it bought, then they passed the sales letter onto others who also bought.

Drayton Bird is the best copywriter on the planet bar none, especially because he writes on a wide range of things and doesn't restrict himself.

And he rarely loses against a control.

In fact, his record is better than Bencivenga's.

The only reason you don't really hear more about him is because he doesn't really market himself, and he's based in the UK.
