Copywriting Video Series or Ebooks?

Hi,

I am looking for some videos on copywriting, something that's in depth and valuable. I don't mind paying $1000+ if it's a valuable training course.

Copywriting is something that I am not familiar with. I have tried to sell products via product reviews etc and never managed to make a dime, so I'm obviously doing something wrong.

I usually do product reviews, product articles and sometimes squeeze pages.

Any trusted courses/ebooks or other resources?

Jason Fladlien's Stopwatch Copywriting is pretty good (it's videos and ebook format)

there's also a link somewhere in the copywriting section with a bunch of great copywriting products

    If you haven't made a dime... I wouldn't spend $1 000.

My advice is to talk to some experienced Warriors... try and get their opinion on WHY you haven't made any money with your writing.

With enough traffic you usually make SOMETHING... so I'm wondering if there isn't a problem somewhere else in your funnel.

Kudos on being willing to invest in your business... but let's make sure that investment is worthwhile first.

I just saw Eben Pagan's Guru Mastermind on Ebay...he's my favorite guy on conversion and his course is being sold cheap!

Other than that...I only feel comfortable with 2 products...I've kinda gone through them but I just wasn't a fan of copy...these are good though...I apply these concepts...sometimes and my conversions actually go up 10-20% when I use em...I usually get 10% outa my sloppy copy...I'm good at getting the customers to buy...it's just not a copy aspect...it's more marketing psychology.

I would look more into mentorship, someone who knows what they are doing and can convey feedback on whether you understnad the principles behind something...

I'm training wiht Paul Hancox and honestly so far it's been one of the best investments I have ever made (need to put some work into it)

There are lots of others on this forum though that teach and help others learn the ropes...

As for courses, it's about how much work you are willing to put into them. You don't need a ton but that's what usually happens; get one and then think you don't know enough so you get another...

Soon enough you are going from course to course expecting to someday "finally get it" and then you can write great copy!

Yeah, no you just get good at studying courses.

Best thing is study copy of particular copywriter's copy and see what copywriter's style you connect with and then study them thoroughly.

Read lots of their copy, even out loud if you can.... study each sentence and why it worked and then just practice their copy as much as possible.

If you really are set on courses:

Fladlien's is great and for the price, excellent coverage of major essential principles of copy.

John Carlton's Simple Writing System or Bencivenga's 100 seminar is great for structure on how to build a sales letter and their procedure.

David Garfinkel's material is great too.

Again though, notice how when it comes to material it just never ends? There always seems to be more and more stuff you need to learn?

I don't learn how to hit a baseball with a bat by reading and watching a bunch of books or videos...

    I train,

    I practice,

I get a coach so that I can get constant feedback and make corrections

and watch and observe what the best do on a regular basis.

I innundate myself in doing and observe versus remembering a bunch if things in my head.

And voila, I learn how to play baseball.

Do your research. There are some good mentors out there.
