Hi,

I recently had a comment stating my site could benefit from a copywriter working on my content.

Not sure if it was just a random comment or really could. If anyone could provide this help, free or at cost. I would be willing to work with someone. My site is new (a week old) and getting about 40 uniques a day.

Let me know if you can help,

Thanks,
Toby

If you want feedback from the forum participants, you might want to actually post a link to your site and mention what it is all about.

        Hi Toby

I'm assuming "PC Trainer" is the site you're referring to.

This is the first block of text on your home page:
PC Trainer offers a range of tutorials and one-on-one lessons to help you get the most from your PC. The lessons range from online tips and applications to use as well as how to use offline applications like Microsoft Office products. All the content on this site is aimed to inform you to use your PC better and in a more efficient way. The PC Trainer website is the best location to get your hands on the latest tips and tricks to really enhance your experience online and offline. In the past websites like these have been far too expensive for the average single user, so I have decided to offer my knowledge for free in the easiest possible format.
        A few points:

        1. Break this up into two or three smaller paragraphs -- daunting to read such a huge block of text onscreen. Try to make your first sentence short (no more than 10 words).

        2. Use transitions at the beginning of most of the sentences, so one sentence flows into the next ("bucket-brigade" writing, or "the greasy slide," to use John Carlton's phrase).

        3. Vary the length of your sentences, and also use one-word sentences -- or paragraphs. The way you have them now, they're all about the same length, which tends to bore readers.

        4. Insert some emotion/passion/excitement into your writing. Which is more powerful/interesting? "A range of tutorials" or "A range of explosive /eye-opening/quick and easy to follow tutorials"?

        I hope this is helpful.

    Toby,

For 40 uniques a day the investment won't be worth it.

My guess is the guy who posted the comment may be a copywriter themselves.

    Kind regards,
