Any News Writers Here?

I have a stable of customers that are in need of original news articles on an ongoing basis.

I would gladly recommend the services of somebody that fits the following criteria:

* Must know how to write news (sounds obvious, but many writers do not know how)
* Must be native English writer
* Must be affordable
* Must be available to write several articles a day

    What do you class as affordable?

    I might know some people but it depends on the figure you offer.

    Brian, I think you need to run a classified ad for this opportunity.

    It would help to specify the pay range, and what general topic field is involved.

    I know what he is speaking of as I am writing them myself and yes others will be looking for them in high demand. I think any copywriter here can make some quick cash this way. I would like to know what brian thinks is the going rate as these articles are taking me about 50% research time and 50% writing but can both can be done in 30 minutes to an hour depending on quality. I certainly would not write for $5 a story the way some "outsourcers" are charging.

    I think what you are looking for is a journalist style of writing. There is a specific format that journalists follow when writing articles and it is different then writing a sales page. Of course some news articles are actually advertisements or sponsored news. With the death of cable news around the corner, expect to see a growing trend of journal style writers and copy editors.

    I have about 10 or 12 guys writing for my news site... it is mostly political related content, but if the price is right, I'm sure I can twist their arm to read about something else

    I can write news, but I can't tell if I'd be a good match. Please:
    1. Define 'affordable';

    2. Provide a link to some examples.

    3. Quantify 'several' articles a day.

    I'm an award-winning journalist but doubt you could pay my fees. Copywriters seldom have the same skill set of a journalist --- they're two totally different professions. The only similarity is they're forms of writing. At times, of course, the copywriter will copy the journalist in creating an editorial-like ad (advertorial.)
