Autoresponder Copywriting Gig

2 replies
I would like to collaborate with somebody on getting my offline clients some quality copy for their autoresponders. I lack the time and talent, and would like you to "own" the projects. That means I tell the client I'm putting them in touch with my copywriter, you generate autoresponder copy per their specifications, and I handle all of the billing, etc.

I am looking to offer this as a value added service for my clients who need it. I need a trustworthy copywriting partner that won't try to steal/subvert my clientel and can write killer copy that sells. If you're that person, let's make some money for our clients!

Please post or PM me with pricing to develop a 5 e-mail series. Links to examples would be great.

      @Mark - No specific budget in mind. I'm just looking for a quality writer that can help sell products/services of offline clients. If you can build enough value you can charge anything right?

      I'd like to give a quick word of advice to everybody reading this:
      I received a number of PM's after posting this and I really appreciate the great personal responses. I was intrigued by what I received. I consider a PM "private" (ya know!) but I felt compelled to share these 3 anonymous excerpts for the benefit of all:

      1. I'll write the sequence for { rate }.

      Why?

      Because I need the money.

      That's why.

      ---------------------------------------------

      2. I'm an email autoresponder writer trained directly
      by {guru} as one of his apprentices.

      You can see my site, with examples, here --

      {examplesite.com}

      Rates at this point early in my career: {same rate as above}

      ---------------------------------------------
      3. Emails are one of my specialties, and I'd be glad to help you out with your projects. I won't take away your clients or otherwise deal inappropriately behind your back.

      Right now I have a WSO going where I offer {same rate as above} and I am willing to use that price for you.

      Here are some samples of my email writing:

      {sample 1}

      And some other samples of my copywriting:

      {sample 2}

      {sample 3}

      My direct email is {email} Let me know if I can answer any questions.

      ---------------------------------------------

      Those three PMs stood out- as they were offering the exact same pricing in three very different ways. When I am evaluating a copywriter, I am evaluating their copy as they attempt to sell themselves.

      #1 sounds rather negative and may come back to want a higher price at a later date. Does this person sound reliable?

      #2 felt the need to identify their inexperience. Why? and again, if you expect more money in the long term, why not ask for the price you really want?

      #3 clearly read my post, provided a well crafted response, and provided multiple high-quality examples of their work.

      Right off the bat, who am I going to feel more comfortable with? Who would YOU buy from?

      I truly don't want to hurt any feelings here, I actually wanted to take some time out to HELP anybody who wants to earn money as a copywriter to take selling their own skills seriously. That will help you get more paying gigs in the long run.

        Good explanation from a buyers viewpoint. How you present yourself in an email or in-person can make a huge difference in getting or closing the potential client.

        I will say that #2 sounded like they were offering some additional credibility due to who they were trained with but... I'm going on your sample PMs not the actual one (which I don't need to see).

        My 3 cents,

        Mike
