Hi there, I think the video should go further up where the picture of the book is, second the adsense at the bottom next to where people can put a reply doesn't really make sense, you either move it or get rid of it all together, adsense unless you have thousands of people going on your site is worthless, and third I don't really get if you are selling one, or three books, but I got it in the end after clicking on them, maybe you should make it clear on the home page that there is a free gift for the visitors, they may never click on those books and they will never know about it..

Put yourself in the shoes of a customer.

You get on this page... and there's a massive header taking up a lot of valuable screen real estate and doing nothing.

Then the guy goes on to talk about his book.

Your customers want to know what you can do for them straight away.

Then the link to the sales page is hard to find... and you have absolutely zero credibility or any reason WHY I should listen to you.

These are just a few of the many problems here.

IMHO... starting from scratch would be easier than trying to turn this around.

Hi, I took a look at your site and noticed a lot of problems. Some of it have been already pointed out. However I would like to add that, first the color palate that you choose to use in your site is not very appealing to visitors. Second, there is so much empty space to both sides of the page, while most of the content is focused on the middle of the page. If I were a visitor, the site would come across to me as hastily made, even if you spent six months on it already. This is not good because it sends out the wrong message to potential clients. If you can't get your site into "shape", don't expect anyone to believe that your book will get them in shape. The last thing I would like to point out would be the text. A good website should first look professional, as well as sound professional. I noticed that you are speaking in the first person in your website. Try to research other websites, and you will see that their text is written in the third person, which sounds more professional.

Overall, I can say that you need help with the entire layout. As in a newspaper, there are basic principles that govern what a basic website should look like, and where certain elements should appear. I suggest you do some research on the web on this, or you might also consider finding a contractor or provider to fix your site for you. There are a lot of them available in the net, you just need to look.

A good thing about you though is that you have a positive attitude, opening yourself up to criticism. Not many people can do this for fear of being ridiculed. I believe that with that kind of attitude, your site will be up and going soon.

Thanks Bob. More good tips there. If you think this incarnation looks bad, you should have seen #1 & 2. My experience is that at some point everyone runs out of ways to improve what they've done already. That's when they need to tap the wisdom of the crowd, hence this post. It seems to be working, anyway - so far there are 14 points to address in the rebuild that I'd never have thought of myself.

I agree with many of the other comments.

When I first opened your site, I thought it was a blog site with articles and your goal was trying to sell advertising or something.

The first thing is to clarify what your site is. Will it be a sales letter based site or an articles based site where you market to the list you are building?

There are also so many articles I am not sure where to start. So perhaps best to focus on one or two areas. Do your keyword and other research to find out what people really want when they think about getting into "good shape".

Perhaps build your list by giving away a free report whether your own or PLR. And then doing a survey through surverymonkey to find out about their demographics and also what their key needs are. Both surface needs i.e. losing weight and what is driving that e.g. fear of ageing, attract opposite sex etc.

You can then tailor your products and offering to meet this.

The information looks quite standard and generic. So the way you package this is important - compelling content. Look at Burn The Fat for a really successful sales letter and website.

As the previous poster said, starting from scratch may be for the best. Before even that, decide what your objective is and if you can narrow down your offering into something even more specific - e.g. weight loss for new mothers, strength training for over 60s etc. Whatever the results of your survey gives you.

These are my initial ideas looking at this.

Personally I want to see more information on your home page. Let it be titles and sudtitles and description of the book, reading which one must think "I must have this book".
The primary colour is calm and pleasant, that's ok, but I recommend you to change blue colour into orange. This very colour, I mean orange, stimulates buying abilities, it makes peolpe buy. Learn more about the influence of colours.
Indicate such information as:
1. What can you lose if you don't buy the book.
2. What will you gain if you have the book.
3. State the peculiarity of each buyer. Don't put we, I or our book in front positions. Leave this space for YOU.

I can give you hundreds of examples, but these are one of the most important.
