It seems that there are plenty of good books listed here for writing copy. However, you should also consider The Elements of Style by William Strunk. A lot of the get back to basics of the english language he explains will also be of great help to you in your copy pursuits. Remember you have to know how to write well before you can write persuasively and you have to know the rules in order to break them.

The Copywriter's Handbook by Bob Bly is an awesome book. Be sure to get the 3rd Edition though. It's revised and expanded to include marketing on the net.
