Hi everybody,
I'm trying to invent name for my new auto detailing shop (web shop). What do you think about this:

1. Detail Zone
2. Detail Isle
3. Detail Heaven
4. The Nuba Isle (carnauba=nuba)
5. ..

Tagline: Unlimited choice, Ultimate shine.

Some ex. of deatiling shops:
WaxParadise (my favorite name )
Car-Spa
Shniearama
ShowCarShine
EliteCarCare
LussoOro

Often uses words in detailing is: shine, gloss, wax, carnauba (natural wax from Brazilian palm), nuba, wet look.
Any suggestions?

    How about:

    • auto gloss shop
    • shiny motors
    • Prep and shine
not too sure about using detail, because unless a car owner is familiar with that terminology, they may just ignore it? I dont know. I have been driving for 15 years and never knew about 'detail' - call me ignorant or plain simply being a girl!

This section is about copywriting -- like Unique Selling Propositions and such.

In keeping that in mind you can 1) Develop your USP 2) Put it into your domain name

    For example: 42MinuteDetailing

    Or 67PointAutoCare

Much more likely to be remembered than a "me too" clever name. When the name could just as well apply to any competitor all they remember is it was something clever. You want something people will use for return business and vaguely, generically, clever doesn't do it.

Grab this advice and make your #1 priority to create a point of differentiation that MEANS SOMETHING TO YOUR MARKET.

Not having a point of differentiation is the biggest mistake I've watched small biz owners make for more than 5 years.

Recently... a struggling company when from 12K per month to 55K... inside of 60 days because they came up with a USP that mattered to the marketplace. They immediately turned price shoppers into buyers by leveraging a compelling value proposition.

      Best,
      Ramon

    hey dkk
None of the first names above stand out as anything specific to what service you provide. Sometimes something boring but to the point is what people remember when they think of the service you provide eg The Auto Detailing Shop.
Not too exciting I know. You can add a catchy subline or catch phrase to this to make it more memorable and that can work a treat.

    wow! thanks for replies
At first, here is an ex. of detailing: detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=141365

Detailing is a multi-stage process of clean or renovate a car. Detailing is a passion, for someone great job. Detailers love car care and testing new products. In forums are certain types of occupations for best detailed cars. I'll think what is the problem for they and how can I them help, but i must admit is not easy.
Many thanks for the greate replies

      dkk,

You're missing the point. I'm pretty sure most of us know what a detail shop is. That's not the problem. The problem is you're not telling us what differentiates your detail shop from all the others. What is unique about it as compared to the competition?

If you do it right, therein lies your name.

      Forget that for a second.

Pretend I've decided to take my detailing business to one of your fiercest competitors.

You have one paragraph to tell me why I should choose you instead. What do you say to me?
