Hi!

I figured most of you have probably read Eban Pegan's Marketing Voodoo Report, right? If not you can find it here: www[dot]gurumastermind[dot]com / media /The_Marketing_Voodoo_Report.pdf (killer stuff!)

Anyway, we're about to launch a new product, and I can't figure out a suitable title for our weight loss report.

I'm looking for something similar to the examples that Eban brings up...

If anyone of you comes up with a title I like, I will send you $75 through paypal...

The Hamptons Spa Diet

Really, this hinges on the connections you make with celebrity endorsers as well as the catchy title.

However, if you have an ounce of salesmanship in you, you'll understand some powerful things hidden within that seemingly simple title.

Ideally you wouldn't have this problem. The title would have come first, then you would have researched, for instance, what people in the Hamptons use to lose weight ...and why anyone should care. Why South Beach? Why not The Jersey Shore Diet?

If you simply slap this on, it probably is only going to work as long as people never figure out the title has nothing to do with the diet. That's your problem -- you waited until the end for the marketable title instead of developing it as part of a marketable product.

In other words, you go to spas in the Hamptons and then develop the diet, and the title almost writes itself, not the other way around.

John_S has a good comment. You should look at the bestseller
lists and study the weight loss titles that are selling well and
construct yours on similar terms.

Loren has a great point... simply study your competition and look at the top 5 bestsellers ... Keep it simple and study your competition..
