Whoever Was Bold Enough to Recommend Copywriters Read Dan Kennedy's Sales Letter

Thank you!!!!!

I read the book and it took me a little bit of time to really get into it, but it was incredible. I finished it the other day and really picked up some killer tips. I wouldn't put my copy up here for a butt-ripping as of yet (yea I'm a baby sue me)... but it definitely helped me approach things faster.

My favorite parts?

The tips about writing for a general audience that might not be literate - I didn't think of that.

Tips of exaggerating the emotion and scale of it for a stronger response over the internet/sales page as customers need visuals

Using strong descriptive text for visualization....

Can I just say that I work in the romance/relationship niche and I wrote what I probably felt was an OVER THE TOP article... but I'll let my audience see how it was with the hits over the next few weeks.

I think you write great (not that you didn't know that, need me to tell you, or were asking).

    You'll love Ca$hvertising.

Down to the basement to find that one. Just because I've read it before doesn't mean I'm not in a new place to discover things I wasn't ready to "get" until now. Thanks for the reminder Lauryn.

(Oh, and check out his other books if you haven't. Learn from them from what he teaches, and analyze/read between the lines what he does to pull you into "planet Dan." Those strategies can be used in your business too.)

      Nathan,

This is why I make a point of re-reading a number of my books every year. Sometimes, we can only appreciate certain information after certain experiences.

Odd, but it really is about "being ready" to hear it./

      Best,

      Angel

        Thank you Nathan!

I really try hard to give "readable, credible" material. Content is king, but quality is emperor (not sure if an emperor is superior, but it surely sounds so!). I will definitely check all of their books out.

No joke, I just purchased Dan Kennedy's "No BS Wealth Attraction for Entrepreneurs". It comes with a seminar on CD-ROM. I am actually working my first offline client who eventually needs someone to help him generate more internet marketing for his primary passion (he's currently in construction and would like to move into other things)... so I need all the sales and marketing information I can get.

Angel, that last line is so true. I purchased that book about 2 or 3 months ago, and it wasn't until this last week that I really dived in. I'm a serious bookworm, so I'm always in B&N and Borders... always looking at a great book and barely making time --- and then I take like 10 books out of the library a week (I told you I was a book worm). So I definitely needed to be ready to hear the message --- and try as I might, I wasn't really ready before, even though I was processing it.

        I'm glad I purchased this!

I Go Hard = "Slanguage" for putting forth a lot of effort.

Don't be an arse and try to flip something you clearly have no knowledge of against me.

I highly suggest you check out "writing for emotional impact".

It's geared to screenwriters, but will sharpen your writing to a scalpel's edge. Especially in your niche.

          Good luck!
          Thank you! I'm on it!

Be sure to also check out Dan's No BS Guide to Direct Marketing. In that one, Dan brings in a few successful friends and they print their direct mail packages in the book.

            My favourite was the exterminator's.

That's a great book. Another golden nugget , especially for beginners.

One of the Dan's best books, in my opinion, is "The Ultimate Marketing Plan," the companion to "The Ultimate Sales Letter."

It's one of the most worn-out books in my collection, truth be told.

              Best,

Another one for you Lauryn by Dan Kennedy's partner; Bill Glazer - Outrageous Advertising that's Outrageously Successful.

More geared towards direct mail advertising but nonetheless an excellent read if you want to help your target audience feel personally involved in the sales process.

                Say Angel,

You wouldn't happen to have PDFs or screen caps of the online activities Dan has listed in those two books, would you? (ie; ultimate-sales-letter.com)

If you did, you certainly would be WF God of the day.

                Cheers,

Darn. A chance to be a god, foiled by my stupidity.

I have 1-5 & 9 of the Marketing Lessons emails. The others are just... Gone.

Dan giveth, and Dan taketh away.

                  Best,
