Joe Sugarman vs. Bob Bly vs. Ted Nicholas Death Match

Hi everyone,

Since I'm having such a great Sunday, I've decided to pepper it with a nice (hopefully) lively debate.

Say today was Copywrestlemania and the main event consisted of pitting Joe Sugarman, Bob Bly and Ted Nicholas in a steel cage...

Which man would sell his way to victory?

Well, Bly would be pinned by either in seconds. Then, when two remain, it would be a little tougher but I'm going with Sugarman.

      Same.

Sugarman would pummel their big selling ideas ad utterly eviscerate their themes.

And before he was done, he'd more than likely stomp their call to actions.

... Not to say Bly or Nicholas are bad. But Sugarman is really ****ing good.

      Best,

      Angel

Bly would slaughter the others in selling hitech to Fortune 500 companies.

Sugarman would win selling tech gadgets to consumers.

Nicholas would win selling alternative health products.

It's a case of "no size fits all".

        All the best,
        Ewen

If the criteria is total sales, Nicholas by far. $6 billion last I heard.

BTW, did you know that Ted Nicholas is one of the people Gary Bencivenga learned from?

        My call:

Nicholas would take Bly out first with a Ric Flair-style Scarcity tactic/Hard-sell Post-Scripture combo followed up by an iron-clad guarantee.

Sugarman would rush in and brutally slap the quotation marks and underlines right out of Ted's headlines, ultimately coming out on top by out-conceptualizing the self-publishing maven.

The first think I thought was "Bob Bly?"

Bob is good at what he does but nothing in comparison.

Sugarman suits my style best but Ted inspires me most.

If it was a sprint I'd go with Sugarman, too.

However, if it was down to stamina I'd go with Nicholas.

            Jack -

            Congrats on the speaking gig.

Glad to see they are only charging $27 (of course you'll have the chance to spend more I'm sure) for that mega bonus package of PLR materials.

Let us know how it goes.

Bly studied BJJ under Carlson Gracie from 1986 thru spring of 94'. He would revert to muscle memory and tie the other two in ACL snappin' knots.

I've studied all three and as they say, "Money Talks and B.S. Walks!" Ted would lay down a swift Ali shuffle of a Headline that would make Bly run from the ring crying...After Sugarman caught his breath and tried a fanciful hook (as in copywriting, not boxing [grin]), ole Nicholas would side step him and waylay him with knockout content, killer sub-heads, and then deliver a P.S., UFC style (no less) and knock his grill out...DONE! Ted Nicholas is the champion, if you don't believe me, go over to Clayton Makepeace's site and if you're lucky enough to get a response--you'll find that I'm right! 6 BILLION DOLLAR MAN - Puh-leez, old Ted's made more money than both of those guys put together in 3 lifetimes. Lovely color commentary there! For a second, when I noticed Clayton's name in there, I was expecting you to descirbe some kind of heelish outside-interference.

I really love reading all the different views on the matter. In the end I still believe Sugarman would snap out a surprise KO.

I don't understand the point of this thread.

All 3 are great copywriters. We can learn from all
      of them.
