This "Different" Squeeze Page Gets 50% Plus Sign Ups

Constant, rigorous testing has got this list builder
50% plus opt ins.

Haven't seen one like it before, so thought I would share.

It's quick, to the point and pushes all of the hot
buttons that gets visitors to click.

Short, sweet and to the point!
50% is a very good optin rate.
(Wonder what the conversion rate is-that's where
    the fun begins, after all-$$$)

Hi, thanks for this. The first thing that occurs to me is that I'm not seeing anything about this squeeze page that looks exceptional to me. If I were critiquing it, I'd say it was boring and lacked fire. The headline is as plain as you can get, and there's no content. I think maybe what's exceptional about it is this:

    Constant, rigorous testing
Looks like they've matched the page to the traffic through non-stop testing, and it's converting as a result. That beats creating a "killer" page that gets raves from every copywriter hands down. Personally, I wouldn't think this page was anything special or give it a second look in terms of the copy. But who cares? I'm not the prospect - and through TESTING, they found out who is and what they want to see.

    So kudos on this.

Tellman says in his blog, that he doesn't like the look of it.

      He concentrates on benefits.

Has anbody seen a sqeeze page with social media
      outlets for signing up?

      Notice the BBB symbol too?

Ewen I like the squeeze page.

Where is the traffic coming from? It's getting a lot of impressions.

Ross, for organic search "list building",
Tellman is #1 and #3 on Google.

The term gets a daily search of 5,400
      combined Google, Yahoo and Bing.

I would expect there is some traffic from affiliates too.

      All the best,

Bruce, I've rounded up "proof" that, yes, he does shave!

I doubt the ranking has anything to do with the domain listbuilding.com created in 2001.

I'd love to see a landing page similar to this competing for the rankings this page gets, it probably just won't happen.

As far as the BBB icon and Social media option. Think that may pull some more for the prospect. Lots of proof, and as Dan Kennedy says if had to choose one tool only for his ads it would be proof. Well done.

lol... i dont take any numbers done in IM seriously anymore... show me those numbers in a niche market... or better yet, show me those numbers on cold/paid traffic.

cuz thats the only traffic you can scale up.

i.e. thats the only traffic that matters... you can't grow your business with free traffic you can't control.

and everyone should be getting 40- 50% optin when you're getting jv's to mail for you... on the low end.

      Dave,

Was hoping you would dive in.

Got any links to offers outside seduction and martial arts/dieting
that are doing well from cold traffic?

      Dave,

We've seen the "Obama" one by Agora which
has been around for a while.

Thing is, we don't get to hear sign up numbers.

      Same as from Motley Fool.

According to one of Agora's writers, they have used a few tricks
from the IM's for great results.

Yet, a freelance writer for Agora told me they made dumb errors
      which doomed his work.

It would be reasonable to think if a ppc/ppv campaign
stay's the same for a long time... then companies from a
direct response background would pull it if it wasn't working.

Mind you, I'm thinking aloud here, they could happily
take a small loss at first, if they are into profit shortly after.

The squeeze page is one small piece of the puzzle to a
      profit engineer.

      All the best,
      Ewen
