The Best Copywriting Book Of All Time

I just got into Internet Marketing recently, and am looking for the staple product or the all-time best book on Copywriting. The "Think And Grow Rich" of Copywriting for example. I'm not talking about a book that you or your friend wrote on the tips and techniques of copywriting mastery... or anything like that, but a tried and true classic on all the basic and ESSENTIAL Principles necessary to succeed in Copywriting,

Any and all help would be appreciated!

2 words, 2 books, Eugene Schwartz.
Check out Amazon for the books.

Also refer to the dedicated thread on what to read here on WF.

Don't buy Triggers. Buy "Advertising Secrets of the Written Word" by Joseph Sugarman.
Triggers is just the "light" version of "Advertising Secrets of the Written Word".

We have a sticky thread titled "Top Copywriting Books Ever": http://www.warriorforum.com/copywrit...ooks-ever.html

You can't really go wrong with the all-time classics:
Claude Hopkins - Scientific Avertising/My Life in Advertising
John Caples - Tested Advertising Methods
Victor Schwab - How to write a good advertising
    Eugene Schwartz - Breakthrough Advertising
Robert Collier - The Robert Collier Letter Book

Go to Amazon and order one of these books. Then, read that book ten times before you get any other book.

My personal recommendation: Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples

Is it me or is The Brilliance Breakthrough not listed in the thread? That is the best book written by Eugene, even better than Breakthrough Advertising! To my opinion at least.

Cool, thanks for the tips guys. I did see the Sticky at the top of the page, but there's an overwhelmingly large amount of books there, and a lot of the same books posted mutliple times... but I've been going thru them. Just wanted to see what people thought of as the "#1 Classics" of all time in the copywriting world.

If you only had to buy one classic on copywriting, I highly recommend Richard Hodgson's Greatest Direct Mail Sales Letters of All Time. You can review excellent examples of successful sales letters with detailed sections on how to write copy.

    There isn't one.

Yep. I wish it was simple enough for 1 book.

However, I would probably recommend Vic Schwab's book, "How To Write A Good Advertisement." Book lives up to its promise: a short course in copywriting.

      Cheers,

      Angel

This was mentioned on page 3 of the master list and is the one sales copy book I still use almost every single day.

Words That Sell - by Richard Bay

P.S. If you get this book, then sit down and start re-writing each page of this book by hand until it's burned into your brain.
