Copywriting course / eBook

Hi,

I am going to be launching my first product soon but before I do I wanted to study how to do the copywriting (sales letter) correctly.

Anyone know of any good courses around?

Assuming it's still available, this is the one I intend investing in within the next few months. It's a six month course from one of the most respected copywriters and marketers I've encountered but it needs a moderately significant financial and serious time investment.

I think it's great you want to learn. There are plenty of excellent resources right here. Someone has already put up a link pointing to the top post in the sticky section of this forum. I'd expect you'd be able to find plenty of free material there to get started.

As for getting up to speed in time to write your own copy for your launch, well, it's possible but not likely. Developing the skills to write effective copy takes time and practice. Sometimes I think people feel learning to write is like learning to drive. I'm not saying you think that way. But many people feel that because they've taken a course on writing they're ready to go. I suppose that's the case sometimes but not often.

Anyway, absorb as much of the free material available in the thread at the top of the forum as you can. Read a lot and write a lot, and who knows, you might be the next big sensation in the copywriting world. Good luck.

      Just what I was thinking.

If the launch is happening soon, the only thing you'd be doing with your money on a course is wasting it.

You'd be better of paying someone else to write the copy.

Then, once you've made some cash from that, get yourself on a copywriting course.

It takes time to get good.

Di you check out this thread at the TOP of this forum?

And as was mentioned before copywriting is not an overnight
skill that you can acquire. If you're still intent on going your way
then I would recommend Ultimate Sales Letter by Dan Kennedy
as the shortest "Cliff notes style" course.
