Question for landing page experts
I'm working on landing pages for insurance keywords. I'm not a strong writer, so I am considering Copyblogger's Premise plugin to get me going. I'm attracted to the educational aspects of Premise.
There a lot of great landing page examples on the forum, but it seems that insurance landing pages are a little different than most. The major sites typically have a quote box with some smiling people, a car, house, etc. The Premise examples look more like a sales page than my competitors landing pages.
I'm proficient with Wordpress and CSS, should I just try to replicate a competitor's landing page? I'm worried about spending a lot of time on building landing pages that I decide I don't like a week later (happens often with my theme design work).
