Makepeace Desktop Copy Coach for $100

I just figured I'd post this because it could really help someone out, and at $100 is an absolute steal.

I think that the lessons I learned in the Desktop Copy Coach, more than anything else, helped me finally reach my dream of having my own six figure business.

.......but, Clayton has taken all of his products off the market, a huge loss for the entire community IMO. In any case, I just saw on Ebay that someone is selling the Desktop Copy Coach for $100. It was either $1000, $1500 or $2000 when I bought it, whatever it was, it would have been worth 25 times that...

If your looking to up your game....you should check it out.

BTW, I'm not the seller..I wouldn't sell my copy for any price.

I think it was the digital copy.

In other words, PDFs + CDs.

I've paid $997 on it and it was a good investment.

If it's a digital copy then it's probably pirated. The original Desktop Copy Coach was a physical product (manuals and CDs).

So if you can get the legit version for under $1K, then it's a great investment.

With the internet the way it is, I suppose most who release their products know that they only have a certain window before someone puts it on the internet for free.

All the packages I have are all originals because I think if someone put all the effort and hard work into something, then they deserve to be compensated for it.

Having said that, there have been a couple I purchased that were a complete waste of money - which I think is one thing that leads to pirated copies - many have been burnt by listening to the sales hype.

I've never asked for a refund, but have become more cautious about buying most of the stuff out there today.

The course kellyburdes talks about was actually written by flores (the over 1000 page pdf) - though clayton is live in most of the videos.

Max, I couldn't agree with you more.

To date, I've only asked for one refund and it was for a piece of software that I found a better option from one of their competitors before I ever received the original purchase.

Same with the new(er) version that was expanded (1100+ pages) and relabeled Quick-Start Copywriting System. Tony Flores did an awesome job translating Makepeace's teachings into an easy to understand format. I wouldn't sell my Quick-Start Copywriting System for any price and refer to it frequently.

          Take care,

          Mike

P.S. Just to be clear, I'm not knocking the OP for sharing the Makepeace course on Ebay. His intent was a great one... it's not his fault that the offering is a digital version of product that was previously only sold as a physical course.

I have seen people put up Clayton's stuff dirt-cheap on Ebay in the past... if you bid, make sure it's a physical product because Clayton's stuff was never sold in digital only format. Except for his Online Profit Multiplier course, I own everything that Clayton has ever put out and I bought from Clayton's site myself.

It's probably the best investment I ever made.

Clayton's style is not for everyone, a lot of people I have huge respect for can't PERSONALLY stand the style he employs.

You see, Clayton is the KING of the us vs them, divisive style of copy. It might not appeal in every market, but it's absolute gold if your involved in political fund raising, financial markets, alternative (natural) healthcare products etc.

Anyway I just saw this today and figured I'd share it because for the right person it will 100% with out a doubt take you to the next level.

I have several people who have PM'd me offering to send me the payment via paypal to buy it from me. I'm not selling mine, I wouldn't sell mine for any cost.

I've simply been looking for another of Clayton's products and hoping that someday it comes up on Ebay, and today when I was looking noticed that the Desktop Copy Coach is available.

I'm not sure what the rules are with regard to posting links, and I don't want to break them, so that's why I'm not posting the direct link...but if you go to ebay you can easily find it.

I actually noticed the same listing earlier...

I already own the updated version, but occasionally check for other copywriting, sales and marketing-related materials.

In any case, you'll notice that 2 have already been sold. It's almost impossible that it not be pirated.

Like Mike said, it was a physical product...

I own the original version of The Ultimate Desktop Copy Coach.

Does anyone know how the "revised" edition differs?

          Mark,

I have an email saved on my laptop's Outlook from Wendy Makepeace that explained the difference but it would take me awhile to dig it out.

What I remember was that Tony Flores rewrote almost the whole thing... they pulled some of the training materials from their former print newsletter (EasyWriters Club -- I own every issue of it)... they added some new content as well.

Did a quick Yahoo search and I found this review site (not mine, not aff link) that gives a cliff-notes description of the course:

Quick Start Copywriting System Review | More Money Review

If you need more specific answer, shoot me a PM and I'll look for that email next week for you.

          Hope that helps,

          Mike

P.S. For anyone who really wants the course, it's worth a shot to contact Clayton Makepeace through his site makepeacetotalpackage.com

Maybe he has a few copies left that he'd be willing to part with.

            Thanks Mike.

I also have the second year (issues 13-24) of The Screaming Eagle (discovered it late in the game). It was really disappointing to see it end.

The product was updated somewhat and tightened up for typos, etc. when it was re-released. And the bonus webinars were reformatted to play smoother on both computer screens and TVs. But otherwise, the two are virtually identical.

The reason for the name change was to expand its appeal to include new copywriters -- it was felt the original name skewed perception to make newbies feel they may not be ready for it yet. The new version was always intended to capitalize on the fact copywriting can be a very lucrative home-based business. So they renamed it to appeal to that audience as well.

I spoke with Wendy back in February, and she said they do indeed have copies of Quick-Start Copywriting System (and Online Profit Multiplier). If anyone is interested, email the support email box at MakepeaceTotalPackage.com.

Yep. I worked for Clayton when both UDCC and QSCS were released, and both were physical products only. If you see electronic versions posted, they're illegal copies.

That said, both UDCC and QSCS did come with bonus materials that were electronic media. And the UDCC glossary was released as a tease for the product. But the actual courses themselves were hardcopies only.

And personally, I feel that's just as well. The product is massive -- and was designed to be a desk reference in addition to an instructional course. A PDF or ebook version simply wouldn't deliver the same level of benefits.

I've been of the understanding that one of the terms Carlton has in his courses is that you can't resell them. Am I mistaken about this?

If I am mistaken then there is a copy of Simple Writing System available on Ebay, the auction to which expires in a few days (I can't remember exactly).

Personally, Clayton's methods and courses haved work best for me - but a lot of people find Carlton suits them better. In any event both of em are the real deal.
