Please rate my landing page on a 1-10 scale

Hello,

I am a Facebook fanpage developer and I would like some feedback on this Facebook-based landing page I just designed. Any constructive criticism would be welcome. I really think Facebook is a great "gateway" to send people through before they go to a website.

Please rate 1-10 (10 highest). Thanks.

This is a regular ad force fit into Facebook. The tone deaf presentation lacking any social media savvy earns this a solid 3 on the 1-10 scale. Three being not good.

I have a hefty broadband connection, and I didn't think there was any content below the headline for a good ten seconds or more. Taking that long for the content to kick in condemns this on basic mechanics as well as inept message-to-media match.

One day, all Facebook pages will be spamvertisements. Until then, it stands as what not to do for social media marketing.

I agree with John_S 1000%. The strategy is totally wrong. I think John_S was being generous with a 3.

To try to explain, you know how they tell you to make your ad fit the layout of newspapers or magazines you place them in?

This is exactly opposite of that advice, making the ad stick out as a blatant ad. Most users will not let it play before clicking away.

Ditto. But that's not entirely my point.

The psychology of broadband is people get broadband to Not Wait. A lot of the people selling this stuff will say that this is half or a quarter of the time a dialup user might wait.

Okay, broadband users are impatient. They Don't Want To Wait Like Dialup Users Wait. That is the Whole Entire Reason They Bought Broadband. So ten seconds in broadband user psychology means that page is broken. And then they leave before the ad even plays.

Ten seconds is about 45 seconds to one minute in dialup user time.

P.S. In case you didn't know: Broadband equals money to buy your stuff. Couponing or not.

I think your page is GREAT.

However Wal-Mart® may disagree since you did not add trademark information
and Facebook® may also disagree if they believe it is a scam. ( Of course, if you
are paying for advertising on FB - FB tmay not care. )
