Why Give Away A Car For Facebook Likes?

Whats the point in giving away a car just to get facebook likes on your fan page? Let me know if this copy makes sence to anyone Win Franks Bus :confused:

    A marketer can publish stream updates to people who like his page.

    Same idea as sending an email to your list. Just a different way to communicate.

      It's not as innocent as it seems.

      Frank is using an app that gets all of your personal data.

      He's building a new list with everyone else doing the work.

      For the price of giving away something he doesn't want anymore, hordes of people are spamming Facebook and their email lists.

      It's obviously working.

    Yeah, some have even come across and started spamming the forums here. Look at the OP for example - a cleverly hidden link to get "raffle tickets".

    But this definitely seems to be working for Frank.

        Not sure Frank Kern falls into the "fake it 'til you make it" category. Maybe at one time, but I think he easily qualifies for "made it" status.

        Here's an interesting note for the margin --

        In Harlan Kilstein's published Overnight Copy sales letter there appears a curious line ...

        It's like a foreshadowing of sorts ...

        I found it quite interesting ...

        The line appears just a bit after a glowing testimonial from the surfer dude millionaire himself ...

        "Harlan's Sales Letter Brought In $110,000 A Minute", exclaims Frank.

        There's nothing sinister about what comes next...

        There's nothing evil about it ...

        It's really sort of fascinating ...

        Did Harlan subliminally "plant" an idea into Franks mind?

        A little ticking time bomb of marketing genius?

        In a paragraph under the subhead "But it's not magic at all!", Harlan writes:

        "Almost all the leading copywriters farm out their work. So you pay Rolls Royce prices and get VW quality."

        Has one of Dr. K's subliminal time bombs come home to roost?

        Of course, I'm joking around.

        Harlan couldn't have inspired with copy he wrote years ago the VW and Rolls Royce contrast used in Frank's recent Facebook ad. Harlan does not wield mind and behavior altering powers ...

        Or does he?

    It must be working, but with all the fake accounts that tend to crop up on Facebook giveaways and contests, it doesn't seem worth it. You'll inflate your Facebook stats but your stream won't reach half that number in real people. But hell, Frank's no fool, if he's doing it, he's profiting from it.
