Question: Persuasion - Getting Customers To Walk In Your Shoes?

Hello well respected Copywriters!

I was in class today (since I am still a student studying) and my tutor said something that piqued my interest

He said...

"persuasion is about getting someone to see things from you point of view and encourage them to do a desired action"

Then I was thinking about my usual way of copywriting which revolves around controlling the emotions of my audience and readers

For starters, the first way seems more like a technique to get the person to agree with you which can lead to a stronger long term customer-business relationship

On the other hand, I have been doing my copywriting by manipulating and controlling emotions which seems to work very well

Do let me know what's your opinion!

In most instances, for them to agree with you, you need to have them believe that you agree with them. Instead of having them come to where you are, you are going to where they are and walking to point B with them.
