What Do You Use For Creating A Sales Letter?

I can't design anything or do any type of graphics, but I'd like to be able to at least hand over a complete sales letter to clients rather than the text only. I'm talking about a 1-page finished piece with the headline formatted, bullet graphics, buy button, etc. All the bells and whistles.

Any suggestions or starting points?

Wordpress is probably the easiest starting point, have a look at:

I have worked on several WP sites, and can create a simple site. I'm just looking for something to build the sales letters. Those two suggestions both look good. Have you tried them? Which one is easier to use/navigate, as far as working on the sales letter? I'm not too worried about the email and other support, since I have other programs for that.

They both use the standard WP text editor with some custom buttons to drop in the various sales page elements (buy buttons, etc).

The most important difference (to me) is that Optimize Press only has one color scheme, the gray/white one on the sales page, while WP Sales Engine lets you create your own.

Looks like this is perfect for my own sales letters. But some of my clients don't use WP, and since this is a WP plugin, how can I just create a letter and send it to them to use on their own sites? That's the kind of thing I'm looking for. I currently use kompozer to write my letters in html, just without the graphics. I'm looking for something to add the graphics and be able to send them on file though email so they can hand it to their website people and have it set up.

  • I use WP myself but there are plenty of people that recommend straight HTML:

Have a look at Max Rylski's Marketing Graphics Toolkits:

(Other Warriors have done similar but you can't go wrong with Max's stuff)

The other option, like Ken suggested, would be to work with a designer.

Better holla at a good designer or take a mini-course on how to design stuff yourself.

It depends on how comfortable you are with HTML but
using a WYSIWYG editor like Dreamweaver you can use
a CSS to do all your formatting naming your font choices
"headline" "subhead" "picture title" etc. to easily format
    the text for the letter.

It's hard to get versatility and ease in the same package.
The more power you have in terms of choices the more
skill you need to get that final results you want.

For sure when you can deliver your copy already
formatted it has a higher perceived value than a
    Word (text) document.
