Make This One New Year's Resolution... and you might actually succeed in 2012

Firstly, I'll TRY to keep this post short, even though I know you all LOVE my long-winded approach!

I'm going to be blunt (maybe not Copy Nazi blunt, but my own distinct brand of tough love...)

...If you're coming from the wrong perspective when you write your copy, you're done before you even get out of the gate!

Wrong perspective?

Yuppers SpongeBOOB!

You see...

...A lot of people (even those with real solutions) have an overt tendency to chase the money.

"How can I position my copy to maximize conversions?!?!"

...Totally legit and completely necessary question to ask yourself before beginning ANY marketing campaign.

But the way you'll answer it and truly MAKE THE MOST MONEY is wholeheartedly about shifting your attention to "How can I help the most people?!?!"

I'll tell ya...

...It's exciting to realize your product or service could really make a HUGE impact and generate the kind of financial freedom you've always dreamed of having.

I get it.

What YOU don't get is you'll NEVER achieve your fortune and glory if you're chasing the money!

EVER!

(Yes Max, I said EVER!)

Now, more than at any other time in human history, people are savvy to sales bullsh!t (the look, the feel, the tactics, etc.)

Sure, you could absolutely hypnotize your prospects with copy so seductive that your reader's will find themselves naked in front of the computer when they're done with your sales letter... and won't know why.

Seductive copy is seductive copy... in any era.

However, in the absence of of your prospect's feeling your SINCERE desire to HELP them with your SOLUTION (your product or service), they might not fall for your seductive copy, with all your emotional triggers, so easily.

Not anymore.

And in this age of social proof, you've got to persuade people to KNOW that you're only offering your SOLUTION... BECAUSE IT WORKS!!!

After all...

...Getting the kind of conversation going about your business (testimonials, Facebook posts, Yelp reviews, etc.) that you NEED is WAY easier if you go out of your way to make sure the people you're tying to HELP, get it.

GET IT?

Okay...

...To sum up your New Year's Resolution (or Revolution!):

Either focus on HELPINGpeople with your product or service (and make the kind of money you REALLY want...)

OR!!!

Become just another victim; another failed online business statistic who got caught up chasing the money and is looking for people to blame!

Who are you?

Which side of the coin are you going to play your BIG 2012 marketing game?

It's my hope that everyone who genuinely has a truly valuable product or service plays the marketing/copywriting game from the write perspective!

We all deserve financial abundance...

...But again, if that's the reasoning for/behind your copy, you'll never taste the lifestyle you're seeking...

P.S. If you're a copywriter, never stray away from J.V.'s or creating your own products just because you need cash now. You should ALWAYS have multiple streams of income. Otherwise, you'll continue living from month to month.

P.P.S. Remember the definition of insanity? Make certain you quit your destructive marketing habits and GET IT RIGHT for God sakes! After all, the end of the world is less than a year away!
