Hey there ,

Have been struggling with improving conversions lately. And stumbled upon this great info which might be helpful to fellow warriors

What is funny (and interesting ) is the fact that a simple change of the Headline can bump up the conversions significantly.

Ps: Also pics of cute girls smiling is a sure recipe to send your conversions through the roof (LOL).

I am sure lot of the veterans already know this stuff. But the above two links are kind of revelations to a newbie marketers.

Shoemoney did some extensive testing and found that cute girls in Facebook ads performed the best too (in almost every market). FaceBook Advertising – Soup To Nuts Guide - Shoemoney - Skills To Pay The Bills

Using cute girls in my Facebook PPC ads certainly increased my CTR more than 'normal' pictures (even for a conversion optimization course haha). However, my account got suspended for inappropriate images.

The one ad I'd consider a little on the naughty side was:

It was by far the best performer though and got 0.537% CTR which is HUGE as all my other ads were getting 0.02% to 0.05% CTR (including ones with faces of cute girls).

This is a great thread. Always looking for tips to increase conversions.

BTW: there's a free multivariate testing service called zentester that I use. Normally, you can browse through data from other users' tests to see what's working for them and what's not. That function seems to be broken right now, but it should be coming back.

  I think it's a bad split test.
  
  The design is just too different, and
  this will cause a skew in the results.
  
  For example, the change from the
  long form to the person design is too
  radical. The info has obviously
  changed.
  
  While it might be of a short form,
  the bullets presented might have
  contained the powerful benefits
  needed.
  
  Also, the person present could have
  increased the credibility as a
  prominent "testimonial". It might not
  be that long form sales letters do not
  work.
  
  They need to change variables slowly
  and not jump the gun, or effort is
  wasted, because you simply can't
  leverage on the "principle" gained
  behind it on future projects.

Tests have shown that on banners you usually get a bigger CTR if you have a picture of a person in the banner and you usually get a higher CTR with a picture of a woman rather than a picture of a man.
