Rub A Dub Dub... Name This Tub!

Hey guys...

I'm working on a new project and we have exclusive rights to market
a Walk In Bath Tub for seniors. (They are the ones with a big door
for easy entry and a nice seat)

It allows seniors to bathe safely and independently... and of course
makes them feel 20 years younger!

Anyway, instead of calling it a "Walk In Tub For Seniors"... we're
looking for a name like...

Totally Tubular Tub

or

Bathe Again Tub :-)

Any ideas or suggestions?

If I use it, you'll have the bragging rights and
satisfaction when you see our full page ads in
the Parade Magazine and AARP magazine!

Go for it...

Thinking of the benefits, perhaps some ideas like:

    Freedom Walk-In Tub
    Mobility Plus Walk-In Tub
(Whoever) Walk-InTub (manufacturer's name, as in Kohler Walk-In Tub)
    Safety Plus Walk-In Tub
SafeTub (perhaps with manufacturer, like The Kohler Safetub)

    Bragging rights don't pay bills.

I too consider it disingenuous anyone would so cavalierly solicit free copywriting openly in a dang copywriter's forum.

So you work for someone who makes geriatric tubs. Good for you. Hey, I'm almost ready to join the geezer ranks, how about you give me one of them puppies for free?

What's that? Oh. You charge for your doored tubs? Gee, I thought you were giving them away.

An absolute and total absence of logic or any semblance of fair play.

Oh. I forgot. I'll get to assert a tub I named is in Parade magazine. Woo hoo. Man ... that's all I need to breathe free and sleep deeply.

      Grrrr.

I find it interesting how Arfa comes here and asks for help naming/describing
a beauty product and gets treated differently than Ken.

      Best,

Arfa Saira has provided immense value to this forum by offering lots and lots of free advice. Advice which must be said has been worth many thousands of dollars.

She's earned the right in this particular forum to ask for free help now and again. Unlike the OP. That's just the way it is. Arfa Saira is a professional copywriter, one of the best here, in a class of her own I'd say.

Whereas the OP hasn't contributed a dicky bird to the CW forum therefore, he hasn't earned the right to expect our time and expertise for free Ewen. There in lies the difference.

        Best regards,

          Mark,

I'm not judging what is right or wrong,
          just pointing out my observation.

That observation being, in my warped mind,
I find it interesting how similar requests get a completely different reaction.

Not trying to infer anything here,
just saying, with my marketers hat on.

          Best,
          Ewen

They do have a point, Ken - if you are profiting from this marketing agreement and want to use one of the names offered here, then you'll want to offer adequate compensation and get a legal release for the naming idea. That's only fair and prudent, especially if you're going to base an entire national marketing campaign on it.

Free names for a charity project would be a different thing entirely.

      Tell you what Ken...

...how about laying a $5k offer down on the table with a royalty included as a bonus on each unit sold for the next 5 years?

This could get our collective creative juices flowing. And for you, it'd still be small change especially given the potential return on your investment.

      You game for the challenge?

        Hey Mark...

Now THAT is an irresistible offer! :-)

It might be easier if I just hire you exclusively.

Yes, I think your asking for love in all of the wrong places, instead of asking here ask the people who will be using the tub, get them to brand it with a viral type name they all like, no good coming up with a calppy old constructed name.

    for example brand it

"the love tub" or "the luv tub" ? what works best

Your body will feel 20 years younger and so will you - the love tub
Turn back the clock and put some lovin back into your old bones - the luv tub
Your tired old body will love this tub - feel 20 years younger in 30 minutes
Step out and dance like fred astair all over again - The Love Tub

anyway the idea, ask the oldies who will use it for a catchy name / pet name.
