Warrior Forum Critique Service?

What do you guys think of unifying a bunch of the copywriters on this forum for a critique service? We offer a set amount and at least x number copywriters will contribute an x number of words critique - then the money gets split between however many people contributed?

This is what im thinking - put a WSO paid critiques offer plus post it in this forum, they pay via paypal to someones trusted account (one of the mods willing to participate) then we divide the amount across to those who contributed

Maybe you'd only make a small amount, but itd still probably work out to at least $50 an hour. Anyways just bouncing some ideas around.

Would reduce # of critiques and give people $$$ for doing something they enjoy

People who regularly post here would have the opportunity to be compensated for their contributions - and the quality of the critiques would shoot way up

We could even have a scale where the more they pay the more indepth the critiques go, anyways let me know what you guys think. We could also give away a few freebies to those in need.

If a bunch of people worked together we could make the prices very resonable and the quality + value very high

It could be win/win for both. People would get a wide range of opinions in a very high quality manner + copywriters would be able to earn money on the forum for their knowledge

We could offer individual prices for individual copywriters to critique as well as packages of copywriters to work together critiquing a piece.

Was this your idea Maximus or Mike Humphreys idea?

Only Mike just pm'ed me before you posted this thread up with precisely the same idea, almost word for word an exact match.

    Hello Mark

It's a very rough idea but why not approach Allen about creating a paid copywriting critique service? Kind of like the WSO board.

People pay a fee for a paid critique. Allen gets a cut off the top and the copywriters who have agreed to be part of the service get the balance for their time and effort.

If you like the idea, feel free to take credit for it. Refine it, run with it, or kill it... it's yours to do with.
    ???

I fully support this idea, it would be a great way to
organize the forum more efficiently AND give some copywriters some
    extra play money

This sounds like it'd be real complicated to set up and administer, with an ever-changing roster of multiple participants needing to be paid. Anyone is free to organize their own paid critique service already; you just pay for a Classified Ad and put a link in your sig.

Are the critiques really that much of a problem now? I counted about 22 critique requests out of the 60 threads on the first page here. That's a little over a third, which is certainly a significant number. Still, considering that it takes a thread five or six days to fall off the first page here even WITH all the critique request threads, and it doesn't seem like they're exactly overwhelming the Copywriting Forum.

Managing paid service is actually quite simple. Sounds complicated because nothing has been systematised yet. A simple algorithm plus basic programming would handle everything on autopilot.

Its about improving quality of content. Maybe we cant get a sub forum but we can think of other ways to solve the problem. I dono if paid critiques are the answer, but its a possibility.

Dude - who cares? I mean, really. You think I'm interested in picking up a couple of bucks for a critique? Yawn. Pie-in-the-sky.

Besides - I don't mind trying to help people out - even if they're clueless. Or especially if they're clueless.

And as others have pointed out - everyone benefits.

Someone in the main forum called me a "gramps" the other day, but I was only able to say "mamma" for much of the sixties!!
