Copywriting Project Intake Survey

One of the things you can learn a lot from is the information other copywriters initially request from a prospect or Client. It's extremely insightful.

Here's a quick search on Google of literally 7,750 pdfs of copywriting questionnaires. Just click the link below:

https://www.google.com/#hl=en&sclient=psy-ab&q=filetypedf+copywriting+questionaire&pbx=1&oq=filetypedf+copywriting+questionaire&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=3 &gs_upl=8583l27713l0l30224l43l35l3l0l0l3l1837l2 247 7l2-6.6.3.8.7.3.2l38l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf .,cf.osb&fp=e497b0ef37f63d8f&biw=1384&bih=919

It's easy to get overwhelmed, I know. But hang in there, some of them are really good.

Here's a link to the questionnaire I use which has been developed, and swiped, over the past 10 years. It covers it all:

These are great to pre-qualify prospects too. If they don't want to spend the time on the survey, odds are they won't make very committed clients.

How interesting...I just asked this particular question in Mark Andrews' thread about copywriting questions. Can't believe I missed this!

Great find, Rick! My questionnaire is always evolving--getting tweaks here and there based on previous clients' responses--so it's always good to see what others are asking.

I've never had push-back about filling it out but I also don't send a questionnaire until someone pays. Partly because I'd rather talk to them to qualify them first and partly because the questionnaire is part of the value I provide.

In fact, a number of clients have sent the completed version back all excited because it made them think about their business in new ways.

Why do you want to have a new website, or have your current site redesigned? This question uncovers the client's motivation for getting in touch with someone like you.
