Match a Copywriter to Their Racing Car

Guys, guys, guys just admit it... you may as well.

You know it.

I know it.

"Eat - my - dust."

No comparison.

Looks to his right towards Vin Montello.

Looks to his left towards Rick Duris.

Looks in his rear view mirror at Malcolm Lambe.

At 5 o'clock Mike Humphreys.

7 o'clock Arfa Saira.

No chance. Mark grits his teeth and like a bat out of hell, guns it...

Yeehaaa!! Smokin'...

Each of the professional copywriters on this forum, can you match a racing car to their copywriting personality and style?

Take Mike Humphreys for example, guaranteed he's a BMW M3 driver, safe, steady and dependable. (It's a compliment Mike, trust me).

What about Vin Montello? Bit of a racey kind of character. Little sporty little number for him? Veyron Bugatti perhaps?

Rick Duris in his bright red Ferrarri of course.

Malcolm Lambe - what do you reckon? A Citroen 2CV6 (joking Mal joking) hmmmmm... let's see... ah. Got it! The McLaren F1.

And Arfa Saira... in her Ariel Atom.

Who else is there?

Feel free to fill in the blanks.

Which copywriter would you put in which car?

Don't know which copywriter goes in which car, but I did see a dozen $5 article writers on a short bus.

        Not flashy.

Because it's got an iconic image - which the clients love to see.

It's small - no room for piles of useless adjectives and endless pages of rambling 17 line paragraphs.

It handles like dream - sticks to the road - no swerving off in the wrong directions.

It's fast - it gets to the clients on time.

It's safe and reliable with an edge - no nasty accidents - but what a stunning performance.

It's economical - no outrageous costs.

And best of all it's a brilliant but understated sports car - it doesn't have to brag - because the response is always astonishingly good.

        Shall I go on...

        No?

        Lol

Quietly exudes stealth and sex appeal. All the richness of the rarest woods, the softness of the finest leather. Raw power under the hood.

Ahhh. The closest I may ever get to a hot Italian stallion.

    Here's my dream car:

What I find funny is some of the speculation about others. I know what several mentioned copywriters drive... You're way off base.

My current car? A black 2009 Pontiac GT8 GXP 415HP

Here in Maui I don't need a car to get around. I am learning to go from beach to beach on a standup paddleboard.

        ha ha!

I used to drive a Mercedes CLK 270 CDI Avant Garde...until I ditched the ex...

Now it's a Nissan Micra - now now, don't laugh, there's no shame in it, and besides if you got kids like mine, you'd understand....my youngest decided to 'help' my oldest wash the car 2 days ago....and scratched the hell out of the bonnet with a stick.

        I didn't even flinch

Of course, it totally doesn't suit my style at all, or my personality...

I'm more a Mercedes girl or a Golf GTI - I LOVE speed and nothing gives me greater pleasure than whizzing around in a fast car....bit like me really, doing everything at 100mph in the fast lane...

Of course, by the end of this year, I WILL have my fast car AND a new house to boot...

When I turn pro copywriter, I guess I'll be on a Harley instead of a car. Laid back, buffed up and damn rebellious.

Steve the Copywriter is clearly a pre 04 Toyota - I'm thinking a corolla vvti. Safe, reliable, won't let you down. Comfortable surrounded by all the flashy show offs, that's just not his game. Substance over style.

Angie on the other hand had alpha romeo written all over in a strong metallic lilac finish. The alpha giulia perhaps; strong character, full of passion and knows just how good they are. Play nice though, or they'll tell you where to go.
