Anyway, a day doesn't go by without someone mentioning a “Squeeze Page.” This is a term coined by marketer Jonathan Mizel (many years ago) and people are still using the term. The idea itself (I believe) has been around in direct marketing long before the Internet. (He gave an old process a new name.)
