Are your articles as persuasive as your sales copy?

At one time, the way I wrote sales copy, and the way I wrote articles, used to be different but... I must have been writing copy for a long time now because... I don't even have to think about it anymore.

I write articles now... very much the same way I would a sales letter.

I just realized that today.

It makes me kind of happy actually because I realize what has happened is... I'm no longer "thinking" about how to write.

Instead...It has become a part of me, like an arm or a leg.

And I do NOT miss the days when I did had to think about it!

Anyone who has been writing copy for just about any length of time can tell you the work that goes into LEARNING and training yourself to write decent copy.

Its freaking hard.

Anyways, I'm not here to boast.

Just sharing my happiness with my fellow warriors

So for those of you that have been in the game a while, at what point did you notice you were spending less time thinking about what to say and more time saying it?

Or perhaps you could share some other experiences you've had as your writing has evolved?

I think some of my original sales copy did better than some of the latter. (Not completely true) Only because I originally went straight into the story and didn't know technique. Now that I understand the technique involved it gets harder to go into a story, infuse it with the right emotion, and tie everything together.

More thought conscious of the process and not enough naivety (is that a word - dictionary found it???) in the story.

So I think it gets easier and harder...

Easier because of the process and making sure you use proper technique but harder because once you have a direction and you get a first draft - then you go back and polish and add more technique - polish and technique - back and fourth until it sparkles and sells...ml
