Split Payments: Show the total price or not?

Hi;

I have a product with a couple packages in the $1,000 range. I take split payments over a year with no increase in price for this option.

Since this is my primary payment model I'm thinking of marketing it hard, and taking off the total price from the sales page.

I'd like feedback from others who've tried this and had any strong opinions on it, one way or the other.

    I know you won't like this answer but you need to test it. Nobody else had the exact same offer with the exact same traffic. Just split test it and you'll know for certain.

    Yes I do plan on doing that; I never leave my landing page up to forum consensus. Just wanted to get a discussion going and perhaps glean insight about it or some peripheral subject

      Hi there,

      I have recently instituted split payments for two of my courses, at $997 and $497. For the $997 course, I always have people who prefer to pay in one go for one reason or another. So I have added this as a secondary payment option. It would be stupid of me not to.

      The company of Learning Strategies always has split payments and I find this annoying because I do not like paying recurring charges and I always find myself doing the math to learn the total cost. Interestingly, I have not bought anything from them since they started doing this but did before. I am not sure if that contributes to my lower interest in buying, though, because if I were seriously interested I would call them up and insist on paying in one payment.
