Several Ways To Build Hypnotic Title

One of the biggest secret on the successful sales page is located on the title used.
Before visitors read what will be offered to them, they read the title first. If title is very attractive and make curious, they have tendency to read more content on the sales page itself. Otherwise, they will just leave and close the page.

Research has shown that one of key factor people want to buy the product/services is because of the titles used. So it is important for those who want get best conversion.

This is just the ideas I thought in my mind. Here are several ways you can use to make hypnotic title.

1. Open the title with this foreword
Finally!
Announcement!
New!

2. Promise benefits for visitors
Get your new job in 2 days with this new method!

Do you always make the mistake all this time?

5. Begin with a testimony

"This is the greatest weapon I have ever seen!"
"These two books make me the richest guy!"

6. Construct the title with words "How"

How to influence other people
How to attract any women

7. Use words "Wanted"

None of this is remotely hypnotic.

You are completely misusing the word.

    Hypnotic is related to hypnosis.

There are no hypnotic patterns in your headlines.

What the O.P. has posted is rubbish - in my opinion - BUT one of the meanings of the word "hypnotic" is "attracting and holding interest as if by a spell". So in that sense he's used the word correctly.

Now excuse me while I slip back into my trance.

Hi Denise, I think this article would be better suited in the articles section of the forum.

What you are sharing has value to people wanting to write their own sales letter, but not so much for the "world-class" copywriters in this part of the forum.

And like Harlen Quoted "None of this is remotely hypnotic."

A Hypnotic headline could be...as you read every word of this letter, you start to feel more and more like...

I think that with all the plethora of advertising and products, people learned not to be so easily influenced by a few words. "Hypnotic words", if there is such a thing, are not enough to make one buy something. They might attract the attention, but they are not enough by themselves to make one spend money.

The fastest way for anyone to create a "hypnotic" headline?

Stick the buzzword du jour in it eg. "mobile", "50 shades of...", "Gangnam" (had to put that one in). Of course the market and message must match.

To be clear, I'm using "hypnotic" to mean trance inducing - a way to access "click whirr" type responses (the stuff outside of conscious processing).

There's also the list of 12 most powerful words... including "you", "free", "new"... etc. And of course other powerful word lists.

Bottom line. The REAL secret to all this is to know your market well.

    Edit: How hypnotic is Gangnam?
    okay... one last one

    Get your Gangnam on... ;-)

  • This has always sent me into a bewildered trance - why on earth do we want to hypnotise our readers?

Or in anyway try and hoodwink them.

Wouldn't it be better if they were completely aware just how sensational the stuff is we're selling and with full consciousness say "Yes! I really like this and I'm buying it"

And not wake up the next day feeling conned and saying - "WTF have I done - I'm getting a refund"

I think Denise was merely using the word "Hypnotic" to describe a good title that can draw and get the readers to do what he wants(buy,etc.). He most likely didn't really mean using hypnotic patterns,NLP,etc. to literally hypnotise the people reading it.

Either way, he used it incorrectly.

Each of those units of language we call words has a specific meaning or meanings. That's what makes verbal communication possible.

Most readers could figure out that by hypnotic he meant "attention getting." Still, it's a sin against clarity and very uncopywriter. You have to be clear to be persuasive.

There are times when novel usage can work, but you have to know the standard meaning before you know when they are. That's clearly not the case here.

  • That's exactly why. You'll get some use out of what Denise wrote anyway.
