Start with the masters of copywriting.

Pick one who resonates with you.

Then look at all the hugely successful sales letters this copywriter wrote. Pick out 3 or 4 to start with and write each one out twice by hand using a large piece of paper and a pencil.

This will cement the psychology used in each ad in your own mind and also help you to improve your own written English.

This thread also contains many suggestions for the best books to buy to learn from...

Now, rather than thinking about writing sales copy in English, since this is obviously not your first language... I'd suggest you learn everything you can, practice as much as possible and then cross apply this knowledge to your native language in Bangladesh.

There must be hundreds if not thousands of companies in your country who could do with the skills of an excellent copywriter to help them to promote their own goods, products, and services.

A lot of these companies will require ads to be written in one way, form, shape or another. Copywriting isn't just about writing sales letters. Copywriting encompasses writing all kinds of ads right across the spectrum.

Put the practice in, learn as much as you, be curious about advertising in general, look at the many ways companies are positioning themselves in the marketplace and make lots of notes as you increase your personal knowledge base.

Make no mistake about it, this career isn't easy. It will require from you a ton of mental effort and then some, and a huge amount of time to get really good at this craft.

    Good luck.

Great advice for somebody who is starting out in copy writing. The list of top copy writing books is a gold mine, however it indicates the amount of work one has to do before he/she can think of writing a fair copy.

Why do you want to learn copywriting? This business is hard enough when you have a lot of things going for you I think having English as a second language would put you at a distinct disadvantage. Surely there are other aspects of Internet Marketing you could try that aren't so heavily based on written English?
