2-3 copywriters needed

Hi Warriors,

I figure this is the best place to find a couple up & coming copywriters...

I have a need for 2-3 copywriters for some steady work. Please contact my assistant, Darcee Sellers at darcee@eglobalpartners.com

Please provide access to your portfolio. I really need to look at a minimum of 10 pieces that you wrote. Please...please...please don't contact Darcee if you don't have examples.

Looking for 2-3 people who can write copy for info products. Also looking for people who can turn out simple sales letters and squeeze page copy in 48 hours or less. I'll provide "raw" research and a copy of the info-product.

Thanks guys (and gals)

    Hi Jason...

So you're looking for people that
can turn out a salesletter AND a
    squeeze page in 48 hours?

    Really?

Most good writers are going to need
at least 2 weeks for that. At LEAST.

I think if you're working with such
tight deadlines, you're going to end
up with some seriously second rate
    salesletters.

    Sorry.

Where does that post say "good?" Bottom fishing for newbies is going to be difficult with the 10 piece requirement.

Reminds me of the want ads back in 1996-97 for Java programmers with ten years of experience.

      You crack me up.

Since when is asking for 10 examples a tough requirement? Unless...umm...of course, the writer doesn't have 10 examples.

      **********************

Thanks to those who have responded so far.

This is not a pick one from a bunch of respondees. I'm picking several. I anticipate a steady amount of work (10-20 projects per month) but the next couple of weeks I'll only have 2 projects. What I'm trying to do is line up writers that have an inkling of how to sell.

Some will work out and some won't.

      Quality????

Well, I can tell by the examples that I'm asking for. Pretty simple.

      Bottom feeders???

Well, there are lots of folks who are talented but just need some steady work. I wouldn't consider them bottom feeders. They are just trying to provide for their family.

My company (why I need the copy writers) is a start up. I have 8 partners and we're developing a service. This would be a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to build up their portfolio and grow with us.

So, I'm not looking for "bottom feeders". I'm looking for the right match.

It really cracks me up in this forum when article writers and copy writers get all offended on pricing. Geeze...I didn't even mention price.

      However...

I will say this. The budget is a few hundred dollars per project. Exactly how much is TBD and totally negotiable.

If that's "bottom feeder" pay, tell that to the guy who needs the money and can do the job!! I have an opportunity for some. For others, they will pass. That's fine.

If you feel that this arrangement is within your comfort level I encourage you to contact Darcee at .... Darcee at eglobalpartners.com so that I can contact you in the next couple of days. She's compiling the list of interested party's for me.

    Email sent, with samples.

Much of what takes time is the research; if that's already supplied then the actual writing doesn't take too long. I'm presuming these aren't 20 page monsters he's after here?

One thing missing is the fee - but such things are negotiable...

I wouldn't call anyone "bottom feeders" because their fee is low.
That's attacking the person and not their offer.

I'm just always suspicious when people post to a board of copywriters
asking to find copywriters. They hang out here and you can read
    their signature file.

So anyone coming here could find me if they want me and those who
can afford my fees contact me. That's why I seldom respond to posts like
    these.

But neither do I feel the urge to criticize anyone's business model either.
If someone is looking for copywriters that charge a couple hundred
    dollars then that's their business.

If copywriters want to write for those fees then that's their business
as well. No use calling them names.

It's more of a "time" thing for me. I can't afford to spend 3-4 hours sorting through links, profiles and what not. I'm posting here to see who will contact me. Those are the people actively looking for work.

        Jason,

If you are planning on paying $5,000 for a sales letter then I've
judged you wrongly and I apologize.

My point is that MOST people who post here looking for a copywriter,
especially when they are not new to the forum are hoping for a
bidding war and getting the lowest price. They are looking for
        bargain copy.

Now if that's your model ... that's your model. I'm just explaining
why I don't respond to these types of posts.

LOL...No Ray, you haven't judged me wrongly if 5k is the standard.

That's definitely not what I'm looking for. At least not for the current set of projects I'm working on.

You did guess correctly. I AM looking for a "bargain" but I'm not looking for a price war...just looking to build a list of copywriters I can contact for a bunch of jobs I'm going to have very soon.

          Under $300 is the number...

This is for medium length info product sales pages. The info product will be supplied as well as pertinent research. These are low level products (entry level products) that I'm creating for brick & mortar businesses to build their pipelines in their particular niche...

          Now...

Where this "may" lead is to bigger projects with the same clients as we slowly generate some minor success with our info products. Then, as my relationship grows with my client (and their trust is earned) I can offer more services and at a higher rate.

This is a little more than I want to reveal right now about what I'm putting together but I figured it only to be fair to explain a little here about my strategy and how it fits in with the "cheap" copywriter request.

I'm not revealing any secrets here because its just the classic sales funnel of introducing lower price products and moving the client along to higher and higher priced products and services.

If I have copywriters willing to help me in developing my relationship by providing the copy services on the lower priced (intro product)...then I'll already have the copywriters in line for the more expensive jobs as they come about.

That's kind of where I'm at in this search. It's certainly tough because as copywriters you all NEED to charge what you are worth to make it a viable business model. I get that. Believe me, I get it.

However, there are some who are willing to work for a little less if they think that it may lead to more consistent work and even higher paid work in the future.

          Thanks

The way I look at it, it's an opportunity worth investigating. Regular work from a client you know is going to pay promptly on the first draft is better than chasing after strangers.

The moment I finish this I need to get onto Skype and thank a guy for (finally) paying his balance and then talk about his next $1400 project. I haven't finished polishing his first salesletter or even thinking about the 2nd as I wasn't 100% sure I was going to get anything beyond the deposit. Yes it's bigger money but also more stressful, plus if Jason and his crew have already done the research I'll still have time for such jobs, AND know I have a regular income. What's not to like?

At the moment I'm trying to pull away from other regular clients who keep turning to me for articles, blog posts, even resumes. I can earn a few hundred doing that but salesletters is where I want to be, anyone offering me regular salesletters best offer with thick gloves...

You don't get paid for writing a letter, you get paid for making sales.
