Most Recent Jon Benson VSLs

Hey all I'm considering working with Jon and he's got a $5k deposit rule before he'll even talk to you on the phone.

And I'm friends with his wife and a close friend and I still don't get any exceptions it seems.

So does anyone know the most recent VSLs he's written?

I'd like to talk to the clients directly about their experience working with Jon.

Let me know if you know of any (and a direct contact for the offer would be even better!)

    My advice...

Don't focus on what other clients have experienced.

Put your complete attention upon what you want and need out of your collaboration, write it all down and show up prepared.

Thanks Mark... I'm not necessarily looking for what the results were but more what their experience was working with him.

Perhaps results are all that matters in the long run though.

This may be a dumb question but...

When it comes to copywriting for VSLs, is the copywriter responsible for anything other than the sales script? Are writers coming up with the graphic concepts, action and direction, etc? Or are they just writing a sales letter in a way that can be "told" verbally, then leaving it up to the client to put together the concepts?

            Just yesterday...

I made a rough mock up on PowerPoint.

I also researched for stock images to use and gathered together about 3 minutes total worth of stock footage that I put into the draft.

This was done to exhibit the flow and usage of imagery to make the VSL flow and POP.

I'm collaborating with the guy who's putting it all together in Adobe.

I also do a mock up voiceovers, sometimes, to make sure all the right words get HIT...

But it all depends on the level of specificity you want to leave your clients with...

I've worked on a script initially and then once the script was completed, myself and my copy partner sat down with the graphic designer to work out concepts.

Thanks guys, that gives me a good idea of what's involved. I have a buddy who's a top notch producer and have thought about the idea of trying to put together some high end VSLs down the road.
