Premium Newsletter: Long or Short Sales Letter?

Hi,

I am launching a premium monthly print newsletter. I am trying to decide between a short sales page (size of a squeeze page) or a long sales letter.

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.

If you we were talking to your prospect face to face, could you make the sale with a short conversation, or would you need to talk at length to get them to buy?

What does your successful competition do?

If you haven't researched your competition thoroughly, be sure to do so before launching your own product.

@Pusateri: That's a good point. I have to think about that. Thanks.

@Alex: Thanks. The newsletter will be a print investment newsletter. Half of my competition (InvestorPlace, Marketwatch, Forbes etc) do short sales pages while the other half (Agora etc) do long sales letters.

Since your successful competition is using sales letters of varying lengths, your best bet is to follow Pusateri's suggestion. Write a sales letter saying everything you need to say to convince your prospect.
