From Darker Corners...

Well, I have to admit, you folks have a nice forum here. I really wasn't expecting that.

You see, I came here from darker corners of the internet whose misanthropic denizens practically make a sport out of how much they despise WaFo. But it's clear to me even after a day of being here that you folks are pretty decent.

The whole WSO thing is a bit screwed up. They were right about that. But I respect the game. I get it, and I might even want to play in a little while. Of course, I'll have to pay my dues first.

Oh, and the reason I'm saying this here is because this copywriting subforum has the highest concentration of intelligent posts in the entire place. Really. You folks seem to be topnotch. I know I'm going to learn a lot from you.

And maybe I'll be able to add a little value myself. You never know

Over time, one thing you'll notice about experienced copywriters is that we avoid "50-cent" words like the plague.

When writing copy, it's best to use words that readers will understand immediately. If a reader has to figure out ANYTHING while reading, it interrupts the flow.

We tend to communicate here in the same manner. Clarity trumps clever.
