Write Your Own Testimonials

Thought maybe I could contribute something here instead of asking another question.

I got my first consulting testimonial today and since most people aren't very articulate and don't understand how important testimonials are, I wrote the testimonial out myself and gave it to my client and said "if you agree with this, please sign". I've been doing this ever since I had a few clients write them. Never had anyone turn me down.

    This is generally a good idea.

    But if you just outright write it yourself, you could miss out on some gold that you would never think of.

    I generally interview my clients, and then reiterate what they say in testimonial form. And then have them sign.
