Hey all,

So, LinkedIn. Useful as a tool or not?

I got an email with "$50 free adverts", so thought I might as well put them to use. I offer a content writing service and was trying to think of how to go about a LinkedIn ad.

A 25 character headline and 75 character body.

What I was thinking was offering a free article, either as part of a set or as something else...and having the ad link to a specific LinkedIn landing page. But I'm unsure about my ad with such a short headline and body...

So far, all I have is:

Do You Want Free Content?

Limited Offer: Free Written Content with all orders until April 5 only

What do you think?

I also need to include a picture, but I'm unsure what to put in. There is my logo (see my avatar here), but I'm not sure that stands out enough.

This was a good email to get as this is something I need to work on and it's a good opportunity to put it to the test.

      lol.

      LinkedIn or me?

I guessed it wouldn't really convert much, as they wouldn't be offering freebies otherwise and I hadn't even noticed them. But it's worth doing anyway, just to see...no?

I tried LinkedIn several times in the past few years... spending a fairly
large amount of money to advertise copywriting services and then my
    ad agency.

    Nadda, zip, zilch in return.

Now, that's just my experience... others could have found it
different, but for me, LinkedIn wasn't worth the time or money.

    Cheers.

Well, it'll take me a short while to get a page together, and if the ads are free I might as well give it a go just to see. I'll report back with my (lack of) findings

OK, I'll bite. I didn't understand the ad until I read the rest of your post. Confusion = inaction.

How about "Free Bonus Content with all writing orders until April 5"

"Limited Offer" and "only" are redundant and don't enhance meaning, so they can be dropped. "Free" and "Bonus" are also a bit redundant, but at least they make the offer clearer.
