Do you make video sales letters too?

Hello,

A short question for the copywriters here... do you also create video sales letters for clients, or stick with the traditional written sales letters?

And if you DO video sales letters, how exactly? Work with a video creator? I'm asking because I'm wondering about the chances to find here copywriters who are willing to work woth video creators in order to make video sales letters.

Thank you!

Bogdan

I don't know how competitive your niche is, but it will definitely stand out; i would certainly give more weight in terms of consideration. I am not sure if you need to hire a copywriter just for your video piece; if you already have one in any other form, I think you should maybe revise it shorter. My mentor told me that it should not be more than a minute because then, you lose their attention.

I would however consider hiring a professional editor who could give a little bit of text edits and animation effect on the video. Then put it on the youtube, also. I would love to check yours out.

The copywriter would write the script for the copy
and make suggestions to the video creator about
supporting that script. I guess different copywriters
would have a different level of involvement. But
most video sales letters are simply PPT slides with
the text of the script read by the voice over talent
    or the product creator.

I'm not sure if this answers your question.

I guess you guys can also create nice looking Videos along with Adobe After Effects....its a simple software.........I do use it day in and out since 12 years..........

I agree with Raydal " The copywriter would write the script for the copy
and make suggestions to the video creator about
    supporting that script"
As a Leading Animator and MotionGraphics Artist....We guys always rely on the Script provided........

Secondly I do agree with Rocket Web too "My mentor told me that it should not be more than a minute because then, you lose their attention. " If you want to create Videos specially a Sales Pitch........ Now this is my POINT " Shorter The Better " we dont want to Bore our Viewers Rather we must create an air of "What's Next" That is the reasons We MotionGraphics Fellas Create Movie Trailors across the GLOBE which are merely 30 Seconder or 60 seconder.................It sells the Movie with an "Sexy Edge"

Power Point Slides are really easier to create and fast to generate your Sales Videos......But if you learn few Small tricks of Advance Softwares like Adobe Premiere,Adobe After Effects,etc.,................That will get you far beyond others.............as you will surely see the widespread of PowerPoint SlideShows ( Now this is my personal perspective I may be wrong ) There is nothing wrong with PowerPoint Presentations.........as that is the MOST Faster way to generate a Video............... as Every Computer User is well versed with Microsoft Word etc., so just installing Camtasia or using Screen-O-Matic ( Correct me if I am wrong with the Names) + a Nice pair of Microphones.....(The Cheap Headphones with Microphones attahched to them are sometimes more than enough...............)

But If you want to Standout hop on to the Advance Softwares I stated Earlier....They are really pretty simple tools........if you can work on Photoshop.......than you also can work on those packages too with ease.......

I am here on Warrior Forum since last few months so a bit NewBie.....Please forgive me If I have written this reply "off the main subject Line.........."

But I would be glad if any Help needed from my side...

    regards

I do video sales letter with some of my clients. They come back for more so I guess they are converting quite well. I create the content and have the video creation outsourced (That's until I hired someone full time). But most of my sales copy comes with a demo video if for some reason it explains things better.

I don't think video sales letters are better than the traditional copywriting. Matter of fact, traditional style converts more than video sales letters

What kind of video you plan to make? A full scale video clip with a unique and professional layout , template based video presentation or maybe a simple comtasia like video tutorial?

I actually got my start writing short-form video sales letters. In a lot of niches, even a simple powerpoint video drastically outperforms text.

Videos are fantastic for services or products that require a lot of explaining. I've written scripts to explain the benefits of outsource accounting, outsource IT, new software systems, even a new type of puzzle.

I usually worked through the video production company. So the client would go to them, and they'd go to me for the script.
