New Help With A "One Liner"

Hi everyone,

I have a youtube channel where I do guitar lessons and I need a better way to help monetize my youtube channel with my amazon affiliate account.

In my videos, at the very beginning, I recommend the guitar tuner that I use and through annotations while I'm recommending, the annotation says this:

FACT: Playing the slightest bit OUT-OF-TUNE can be DEVASTATING to your guitar playing

CLICK HERE AND BUY MY TUNER

ON SALE NOW!

(To see a video with the my annotations that I'm refering to, please check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRZn12Xfbm4 go to 1:07 to see the annotation I'm talking about)

The problem is... IT CONVERTS HORRIBLY! Out of 1000 people that see it, maybe 5 click on it to see what the link is about. Out of those 5, I rarely ever see a sale.

Is it my my annotation thats not converting? Is it the fact that its an annotation? Is is not posted for long enough? Any thoughts?

Thanks Guys

Selling on the internet is becoming more and more relationship oriented.

Instead of trying to sell them on their first encounter with you, try driving them to a valuable freebie where you collect their email address.

Then use an autoresponder series to get them to know, like and trust you. Once they do, your recommendations will carry a lot more weight.

      Thanks for the reply Alex,

Actually another one of my annotations in the video is an opt in for my list where I give them updates and the occasional pitch.

On another note, I would like to try to make my e-mails convert a bit better, are there any guides to copywriting or maxing out your conversions w your list that you'd recommend?

      Thanks!

        Justin,

The best training I've seen on trust building via email is Sean Mize's Integrated Conversion Campaign Formula. I bought it last year around this time, but sorry to say, I don't know whether it's still for sale or not.

Do some studying on the sales funnel. It's always going to come back to offering great content. It's good that you've got a lead capture plan in place. You'll also want to continue offering lessons or methods.

A couple of years ago I was trying to do some stuff with photoshop and got stuck. I did a search on Youtube and ran into Donny. Donny is a deadpan smartass who is also a genius at photoshop. I really love dry humor and this guy delivers it.

If he had photoshop tutorials for sale I'd buy them but he doesn't. He has a huge following and does nothing that I know of to monetize them. I bring him up because he has the unique style (it's not for everyone, obviously) that that draws people in. Maybe you could get a few ideas and make them work for you. This video is a photoshop lesson with more than four million views. The guy is doing something right. Good luck.

Travlinguy...is it not possible to say the word 'suck' on YT. I noticed he changed the spelling.

Yeah, I noticed that too. They say every word imaginable on Youtube and then some. Don't know why they modified that word. Maybe it's Donny messing with us. :p

I used the tuner as an example, I also have an annotation for a Capo too that seems to be having the same problem

      @ TravlinGuy

Thanks for the vid recommendation. I really enjoyed the way he did his video. I just wish my video personality was more like his
