How To Find A Good Sales Page Writer?

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I'm looking for good sales page writers. I need 4 sales pages written every month, so this is a long term project. If anyone is interested or know where I could find a good sales page writer, please let me know.

Ideally, they would have some sort of performance guarantee.

Thanks,

Chris

You're probably going to need to give a bit more information before you'll get good responses.

What niche are the sales letters going to be in? Are you looking for a cheap letter or a high quality letter? Are you going to need extra marketing done, such as traffic generation, or do you have that taken care of already? What sort of budget do you have in mind?

While some of us can offer great quality letters, not everyone can do so at a good price. If you want sales letters that sell, expect to pay a good price for them. It'll be a great investment.

      More info:

      1. There all different niches
      2. As for budget, I don't really know. I write them myself now and I get between 2-4%. I'm looking for the same conversion rates or higher. I want quality writers only.
      3. Timeline,I don't know how long it takes someone to do a page. I need 1 done every week, so I may need more then one writer.
      4. I have my own traffic so I'm just looking for copywritters.

If you have any questions let me know.

      Thanks

  • If you're looking for someone who can consistently beat 2-4%, you're looking in the $1500+ per letter range. Some people *might* give you a discount, per letter, if you order 4 at a time (i.e. $4000/month for 4 letters) but that is if they can get them done in a week.

Go lower than that, and you'll probably find people who *can* beat 2-4% once in awhile, but probably not consistently. And even then, their rates will probably eventually climb.

I know you can't PM yet, but if you need some more advice or maybe some direction feel free to contact me through my site (BCWebMedia.com) I might be able to help point you the right way.

I mean no offense to you or anyone but I actually have some doubts on consistent 2-4% conversions for $1,500 a letter writer.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a $1500 copywriter do ANYTHING consistently. IMO the $1500 guys are good crapshoots. No consistency but some decent knowledge and a few skills. IMO you get consistent and you're talking at least $3K for a letter.

      This is all my opinion...

And for the record, I'm even doubting ck's claims for 2-4%. I'm not sure everyone's counting the same apples to apples when they come up with conversion numbers.

Yeah, when you're talking about warmed up traffic it's a whole different ball game and there's all kinds of very attractive numbers thrown around... But in terms of cold traffic: 2% is actually a very strong conversion rate. Some very successful websites even hover around 1% or less.

Personally been your own writer for your sales page is best as you save money and can get your point across a lot easier than explaining to someone else and paying someone else

Wow... this is like so far from true it's sick! It's exactly 180 degrees away from truth. Writing your own sales copy can be the hardest thing to do for the most talented writer. For a dilettante it's pretty near impossible.

And to add to that, writing copy that converts... and converts well... is also
        very time consuming.

Why would you spend 3-4 weeks writing and perfecting your copy when you
could be working on growing your business instead?

Of course, if you're just looking to come up with something that looks like a
sales letter, you can do that in a lot less time -- probably a week or even less.

I hate to admit it but I've just read one of the best landing pages I've ever seen. It was so good I thought "This isn't written by a copywriter - this is too passionate - this guy really knows his stuff and really cares about his product". So I emailed the guy and asked him. I was right. He wrote his own copy. I also ordered it. The product is a $247 software bundle so it's not a cheapie. Thing is the words just "resonated" - they dripped sincerity and credibility. And I don't know about you guys but that's what I'm looking for when I write copy. I don't always succeed. Helps if you really know your product. Kinda like "What's your greatest fear?" - For a lot of people its having to stand up and talk in public. But it's not that hard if you really know your subject. For instance, if you had to give a talk about "My life" - where you were born, where you lived, where you were schooled, what your hobbies were etc...you could do it.

No one ever said there weren't exceptions. But if business began doing this across the board, trillions of dollars would be left on the table.

The plain fact is, no matter how passionate someone is about a project or product, if he/she isn't damn good at getting that across to the reader, no money ever changes hands.

And 99.9% of the time that's what will happen.

Displaying passion, and resonating... that's the bread and butter of a good copywriter. Most people (male or female, amateur or pro) can't even show their passion in person to the people they love... let alone to an anonymous audience of readers.

Really? Maybe if you're an extremely talented copywriter... If not that's the same kind of short sighted thinking that keeps the majority of marketers broke.

Copywriters earn a lot of money because they know how to sell. It's a talent. It's a skill that takes years to develop.

And by glancing at your sig Ashley (I'm not picking on you) I can point out about 15 things that are hurting your conversions... You could start with the giant picture of you (I'm assuming) under the headline... How the hell does that convince anyone to want to keep reading?

Put a strong lead paragraph in there and suck them in. Get the opt in above the fold.

There's nothing to suck me into the copy. There's no compelling reason for me to opt in.

I'm just trying to show you why (even though some people will NEVER get it) smart marketers spend BIG money hiring copywriters... It's an investment.

I'll often stand up for the little guy. I encourage such posters to at least give a chance to those who do not command major fees but who, as the saying goes, 'need to start somewhere'.

However this particular request is, frankly, ludicrous.

Knocking out new salesletters, multiple niches, snatching 2-4%, at the rate of 1 per week?

I pity whoever gets the job, but best of luck with that.
