I have a 17 min video sales letter, basicinstinctformula(dot)com , about 10% of people (according to wistia) watch the video till the end. I have a "click here to add to cart" appear 1 min before the end of the video. But for some reason nobody clicks on it...
And i don't understand why

How about posting a link to your VSL? Otherwise you're not going to get any answers on here...

If you're not getting people taking the next action, it is probably because you haven't described the product or the benefit it will give them in a compelling enough way to make them want to move to the next step.

I watched your video, and it is okay. As someone who specializes in the dating and relationship market, I can think of several ways you can improve your video.

For example, you could describe the outcome a guy would get from following your product in more detail to really get him to imagine what his life would be like.

You could have a stronger hook at the beginning of the video to pull people in.

You could come up with more compelling names for some of your principles and theories that the product is based on.

Anyway, let me know if you want to talk. Like I said, I work in this market day-in-day-out so I think there's a lot we could do. Just shoot me an email at: clayton [at] claytonterao.com

Your headline isn't good, it doesn't "flow at all" or make sense, really.

BUT... if you're saying they are staying until the end, and not moving forward... that simply means your letter didn't persuade them to move forward. Simple as that.

If you haven't done a good enough job "selling" them on the benefits and "reason why"... then why would they click the "add to cart" button.

Clicking the button is a natural step AFTER you've sold them. If they're not sold, they won't click.

So, the long and short of it is... your letter isn't persuading them to move forward... so they're not clicking.

People will NOT move forward with something, unless you've given them enough reason to.

When I went to the video I couldn't even watch it without giving you my email address...lol.

How bout giving me something before you ask for something?

Needless to say, I never made it to the buy button.

I haven't the slightest clue why anyone would give you their email right off the bat unless it's a junk one they use for purposes like this.

I threw in a fake email to watch it, which is probably what most people will do I would think.

You're trying to educate, rather than sell. All of that stuff sounds like the content you should be giving in the product itself, not the VSL. Also, what you've done is more of an explainer video than a sales pitch.

It's also really boring. I was dozing off. And what's up with that narrator? At times I thought it was a synthesized voice or something. Is that a real person?

      Random thoughts:

      What proof do you have?
What makes you a guy anyone should listen to?
What exactly are you teaching now?
Are you teaching guys how to get an erection?
      Are you teaching dating advice?
I don't even know what you're selling. You need to make that clear relatively early on.

I suggest following the basic steps of a sales letter to come up with something more solid. You're going up against some very strong offers in this niche, so you'll really need to be bringing your A-game if you want to compete.

I was going to watch the video to see if anything jumped out at me but you asked for my email before I could even view the video.

    I closed the tab.

On the whole, you get what you pay for.

You don't have a headline for a start, so people coming to the page have no idea what it's about.

I see you've changed the voiceover from the robot voice you had in the last version... the current one is only slightly better. And the cheap animation that you have makes the whole thing look exactly that. Cheap.

Nothing about your page or VSL looks professional, so I'm not surprised people aren't buying whatever you're selling. I wouldn't hand over my money to someone who looks like they are an amateur.

You seem to be trying to make improvements on what you already have, when I think you're better off scrapping it and starting all over. The best thing you can do is hire someone to do your sales page for you. Sure, it's going to cost you some money upfront. But you're not going to make any money with what you've got at the moment.

Tim and Sean are right on the money. You have one option, start over. Small edits won't take this VSL to where it needs to be and where you want it to be.

Did you experience this problem? If so tell your story... the education stuff can be included in a shortened form later in the VSL...

Right of the bat give them a promise of what will happen if they watch your video...

Then give them a detailed story they can relate too...

The first questions you need to ask yourself is what's going on in your potential customers mind when they come to your video. Some people refer to this as entering the customers mind mid conversation. Secondly, what does your product have the potential to do for them. And a unique perspective on why your product is different from other similar products - USP. This will give you something to start with.

I know sometimes it's hard to go back to the drawing board when you no doubt have put time and effort into this, but if you can get it right the benefits can be immense.
