Congrats on getting 100-250 visitors per day. However, I don't see anywhere on your site where your are capturing people's emails to build your list. Even if you converted say 5%/day, you would add 5-12 subscribers every day! Most people would kill for that!

I would put a capture page as a sidebar so I could market to the list. Also, take down the banner ads that don't relate to health/wellness.

However to be honest, since all those products are about health and wellness, I would setup a simple squeeze page and market those products to that list. I wouldn't even use the website you designed but that's just me.

Congrats on the traffic! And yes I agree with Anthony. It's difficult to sell directly from the site. At least it is for me but I'm sure you'll have many others provide you with good input.

    Good luck to you.

Giving away something free for an email has worked for me. As long as the item you give away is related to your niche.

well my friend.... there's a few reasons you may not be getting sales.

    1. Is the traffic targeted?
    2. Is the traffic cold or warm ( are you building a list?)
    3. Is your funnel optimized?
    4. You will need to test your site and funnel in order to increase sales.

Checked out your site, you may want to add a video and get a more professional design.

DON'T GIVE UP! Your on the right track, just a few things you may want to tweak!

It's hard to say why they are not converting.

But, to be honest your design is horrible. You need to make it look more professional. I wouldn't buy anything from a site that doesn't look professionally made.

Did you hire someone to do advertising for you? It almost sounds like you are getting bot traffic.

How many pageview per visit are you getting? Are the visitor clicking on anything?

First of all, I would convert this site to WordPress. That way, it can easily be updated with new content every few days. This will help bring targeted traffic from the search engines and give visitors a reason to come back. More content allows for more internal linking, which can lower your bounce rate and get their eyes on your affiliate links more often before they click away.

In the sidebar, I'd get rid of the Google ads if you are focusing on affiliate marketing. You are likely losing some of your traffic to these ads -- which will earn you money too, but would you rather they click an Adsense ad or through to your affiliate product?

Building a list is also important -- you can then continue contact with your visitors and try to sell them more than one product that fits your niche. You can also provide them with more valuable content via email to form a trust relationship with them -- which is key to get them to fork over their hard-earned money.

As Kecia mentioned, I would also recommend converting to Wordpress.

Once you do this, the immediate next step I would (personally) take is to head on over to ThemeForest.net and grab a professional theme to give your site a more updated look.

Currently, it feels very late 1990s and my eyes go everywhere. I also suggest giving a quick trial a shot on CrazyEgg.com once you have your theme in place, so that you can (instantly) see where your 100 - 250 visitors a day are clicking.

When you see where they are clicking, you can then optimize on those areas, test moving around your CTA buttons and optin forms to those (hot spots) so that you can capitalize on your traffic almost immediately.

    Good Luck!

Your site definitely needs a better theme. It does not look very professional to me. Try putting it on Wordpress and get better themes if you are not that knowledgeable about HTML or CSS coding. If I were a page visitor, I would think that a pop-up would come out from your website. Improve it.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[8629156].message }}

After you have improved the overall look of your website, you might want to engage in some serious promotional strategies, on social networking sites, perhaps. I mean, 100-250 visitors per day is already good but you should certainly find a way to improve that and to turn your visitors into actual subscribers. Use better marketing materials.

Email marketing and getting leads is the key. Also the traffic you send to your optin page is also very important. If you rely on Search Engine Traffic, try to rank for keywords with high buyer intent. Check out this post on Buyer Intent if you don't know what it is.

Another thing that you can consider doing to improve the look of your website is to hire a website designer to do the job for you. You really have to establish credibility -- not only on the content that you post on your website but on the overall appearance of your page.

You need to have a means to capture your visitors' emails and follow up. Use an autoresponder and write useful messages related to fitness and weight loss or whatever and then follow up and promote your product.

You may want to buy fitness PLR ebook and edit it to insert your affiliate product link there. Then offer it to visitors who sign up with your news letter.

A simple non wordpress site can also generate sales. I have several sites that don't use wordpress but they generate sales. You'll have to do some pre sell to get those sales. I don't see much content on your home page that does that. You'll have to presell to people who are passionate about building a body. Take a look at some of the other sites that help people build a perfect body. Identify the emotional hot buttons. Build your presell accordingly. Make sure to have a good head line and a strong call to action at the end of your presell.

Yes, non-Wordpress sites can generate sales, as well. However, I think that his marketing strategies are the ones that aren't working as of the moment. Also, it seems like his website design is leaving a huge impression among his page visitors -- something that can be easily fixed with Wordpress.

    Hey Ribz,

That's pretty impressive regarding visitors to your site ...

As for monitizing and making sales, the obvious thing would to put a squeeze page in front to get your visitors on an email list where you can stay in touch.

Once they optin, then send them to your site

Okay, reality check time. You're in a multi billion dollar market. People with offers in this market spend thousands of dollars for their sites. Yours has little appeal. It looks like a home made job. You've got to decide exactly who your market is and speak to them. You have no compelling headline, nothing to draw the visitor in.

The image, Get Your Perfect Body is fuzzy. Same for the header image. You've got a bunch of text underlined in blue. Ugh. Believe me, I'm not here to bash you. This stuff drives visitors away as soon as they arrive. That's why you're not converting.

You might have the greatest fitness program on the Internet but no one will know because they aren't going to take you seriously. Get a professional designer to build a nice site for you, one with a theme. One where the header and footer are compatible. One with clear images and formatted text. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to look professional. There are dozens of really good designers right here on this forum.

Once you do that you'll have a chance. Good luck.

My point, exactly. If you want to make money in the niche that you have chosen, you have to be very competitive. The design of your website is something that will leave a huge impact to your visitors. They can judge your services based on what they see. You really need to invest on it.

    Hi Ribz:

With 250 visitors, you should get 10 sales per day because 4% is industry average conversion. Typically, I do 5% conversion, but that is me.

Like your web site, as I use to have a web site similar to yours. The links are in BLUE, that is super. People know where to click, but I have to talk straight to you.

Put your used car sales man cap on. People do not walk on your lot to get out of the rain. They want to buy cars. OK, so your job is to sell them a car. First off, you are in business to sell, not to inform consumers. Look at selling sites such as EBAY or amazon. ABC - always be closing, not informing consumers.

    WHAT are you SELLING?

OK in my web site I have a big picture of a bottle of weight loss pills, and underneath a price. Under that price is a mega size [BUY] button similar to an amazon buy now. I go on your site and I do not see any. What am I suppose to buy any way. Is it a BOOK on how to do lose weight, build muscles, and do exercise. WHERE is it?

Hey, understand that I want to help you. I was paying 50 cents per click and with a 5% conversion. That means I was paying $10 to simply acquire one consumer. My profit in each bottle was $50, but I have a lot of expenses.

OK so you want to make money. SELL, that is what you have to do. Follow these steps.

    1) SPECIAL OFFER - THIS WEEK ONLY
    2) Big picture of the item you are selling - using a crisp image
    3) PRICE, people buy on price. ONLY $99.99 this week only.
    4) BUY BUTTON, make sure it is super big, so that even a blind man click on it.
    5) Finally, use free shipping and a free mystery gift to get more consumers.

Put those five into action and get back to me.

I would actually be surprised if you HAD made a sale with this site... there are FAR too many things wrong to actually list them out.

You gotta find out what you MOST want your site visitors to do... and then work backwards from there. Make it a clear-cut path.

Right now, your site has no focus and no direction... so when someone lands on the site, THEY will decide on the action to take.

The most successful sites are set up to almost ensure that the most wanted response is taken by the visitor.

For starters, go to Clickbank and look at the top selling/converting sites in the fitness niche... and try to reverse engineer what they're doing. I can assure you... it's NONE of what you're doing.

Check out sites by Geary, Venuto, Ballantyne, Poulos, Dr. Charles, Leon, etc... and just get an idea of how to set up your site the way million dollar sites are set up.

Heck, back when I was selling fitness programs... I sold over $2 million dollars worth of an ebook using nothing more than a long scrolling landing page and an order button... with plenty of traffic.

But save some time and go check out what the winners are doing... and model them.

Don't worry - this is the norm for folks new at this industry. Your concerns are normal but they can be addressed.

200 visitors daily is not a bad launching pad, but always consider ways to top your previous day's traffic count. Also, consider your offer and your market. Make sure that you're placing your offer in the line of sight of those that are likely to be interested in it. In other words, don't offer Honda parts to a list of faithful Volkswagen enthusiasts.

Speaking of list, building one has to be a priority. At first it may be tough to swallow, but spend your traffic generating resources on getting eyeballs on an opt-in form.

Well, try to understand the traffic you're getting. Who are they, how are they getting there, are they motivated buyers, are they sceptics and must be convinced, etc?

If the visitors are interested in buying, but have been scared off by bad advice, scams, and whatever else, then I very highly suggest taking a good look at your site and make sure it does not further their scepticism. It does not look reputable or convincing. The header image appears squished. The next lower image appears pixilated. I see BANNED on the left side, which immediately makes me suspicious, even though reading further it is about a video. There are no credentials or endorsements (such as the method being endorsed by the ASPCA or whatever...). The layout appears cookie-cutterish.

Seriously, revamp the site and try to make it more authoritative and professional. My 2 cents.

        Ribz,

I'm not sure what you're selling, but here's how to make money... FAST.

1). Re-do your page to talk about one specific thing. For example:
*How to get 6 pack abs
*The best way to build muscle
*A story about how you lost weight in X months
*The biggest lie about _______ in the fitness industry
        *etc.

2). Include high quality pictures if you can

3). At the end of the page say that you found a great article/video that shares more free information

4). Link to a sales page. I have found that these products convert the best for me in the men's health/fitness markets:
        *VisualImpactMuscleBuilding.com
        *TurbulenceTraining.com
        *MaxWorkouts.com

Of course, make sure you're using an affiliate link. Here's an example of a guy doing this successfully: 3 Things Secretly Lowering Your Testosterone

Seriously, with 200 visitors per day, there's no reason for you not to be making money.

Follow this blueprint and share your results with us.

Why not bring the 'shocking' banned video (mentioned in the sidebar) up to the middle of the page on the first frame of your site? That way your visitors will instantly have something else to see/do once they hit your home page. As is, the visitor is hit with a sales letter that gives them no incentive to keep scrolling.

It's a poorly designed page and that's turning people off right away.

When it comes to converting traffic to a website, you have to have 100% congruence between 4 things:

    1. The intent of the traffic source.
    2. The landing page they arrive at
    3. The CTA that they see on that page
    4. The offer that they are presented with

Sounds like most of your traffic is coming from search. What keywords are they coming in from? What is the mentality of someone who would type in those keywords?

What pages on your site are getting the most traffic? Is the content suited to the intent of the searcher? My guess is that something about your content or your website design could be improved since you say you have a high bounce rate.

And of course the CTA and the offer need to be suited to the traffic source too.

But of course, this all is linked back to your traffic source.

    Example:

If someone is searching for "Stop dog biting," they want to read information on how to stop their dog from biting. Your landing page had better directly address this problem. Your CTA and offer need to be directly related to this too. Don't think that just because someone typed in "stop dog biting" that they'd be interested in buying dog food or a dog house. Solve (or at least take them one step closer to solving) the most pressing problem in their mind... the fact that they are terrified to take their dog out in public or have friends over because their dog might attack someone.

And as a side note, don't use the "hyperlink blue" color for your headlines. It implies that people can click on them to go to other pages on your site. When they try to click on them and nothing happens, you are training visitors that they shouldn't click on your links or engage with your site (generally not a good thing to do).

I have to agree with the other warriors, I don't think the site looks modern. It looks like a plain HTML site from back in the day. Also add links and icons o your social networks, maybe some video reviews of the products you are selling. My first impression about the site is that it didn't look too credible. Jump on these suggestions quick since you are getting decent traffic. Good Luck!

Idk but for some reason I can not access your website.

But, my friend, here's some basic and simple, yet effective that I can share with you:

    1. Make sure your site is organized
    2. Make sure your design is complimentary with the articles that you are making, with what you are trying to sell to visitors
    3. Make sure there's a call to action hyperlinked text on every article that you post. Maybe somewhere on the last paragraph or whereever you may want to put it.
    4. Make sure you have a decent capture page

PS: are you getting people who opts in into your sales funnel though?
