Copywriter's Promotional Website - Starting Out - Your Suggestions?

Hi Guys,

I have been writing for a few clients here and there in different niches, doing a wide range of things from B2B, corporates (working with AIG at the moment!), sales letters (still love the creative licence I get writing a sales letter) and email autoresponders.
But I have been doing it part time with almost minimal advertising. It has mainly been via word of mouth.

A.K.A - I have not been a good marketer to put myself out there and to make a real solid living as a copywriter.

So, my question is this.

1. Do I brand my site and service under my name - but like who the hell cares who is Sidney Ng right?

2. Do I niche myself to one particular niche - there are mixed responses in this. But I really want to hear what thriving copywriters have to say about this. I know one of you here has a Clickbank Copywriter - very good niche to be in ;-)

3. For my site - would you suggest a "Sales page format" to sell my services, a "blog" type site, a "squeeze page", any good examples?
I have seen different copywriters who use the different types of sites but would like to hear your points of view on this.

4. I have been working with just a small group of clients and have been charging pennies for a dollar, do you think WF is a good place to start promoting my services to increase my nett and get more interesting work.

5. Competition - I know there are lots of heavyweights here - but is there still room for fresh talent to come in? If so - what rates do you advice?
