In my opinion, Ray Edwards is an exceptional copywriter and communicator.

He also has Parkinson's disease.

He just revealed this in the blog post below.

The Time Has Come | Ray Edwards

My own father has been battling Parkinson's for almost a decade.

It takes courage to acknowledge the symptoms to yourself and to others.

I wish you well Ray and admire your spirit and attitude of service.

Sure l am not alone here in wishing Ray the very best in this battle.

--- Ross

    Wow. Just wow.

I first talked to Ray back in 2004 or so, he helped me with my fitness copy.

And I'm not sure if there's anyone in this niche I look up to more than Ray.

Just the way he runs his business, his life, and how he treats others.

Ross, thanks for letting us know... I have a feeling a whole lot of fellow copywriters and marketers will be reaching out to Ray, letting him know how much of an inspiration he is.

That's a tough call although the disease is "livable with" and the new medications
are getting better results. I worked as part of a research team that was seeking
a cure for Parkinsons back in the late 80's while in University. We worked
with monkeys and gave them brain cell transplant--the 'cure' worked but I
never followed to see if the actual application was made for humans.

We don't choose our lots in life and sometimes just have to roll with the
punches, which is what it seems from the post Ray decides to do.

I still get a kick out of this... 2 of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met online... both of who helped me early on in my career... both named Ray Edwards and both copywriters.

I sometimes get confused myself, except when I look in the mirror--I have
        more hair.

I met Ray in Atlanta in 2006 I think. A lot of people get confused. Too many
        things in common.

Ray, I've always wondered, ever since knowing of both of you... how much of a challenge that must be, logistically.

For a lot of folks, standing out and being different than others is a tough task... so it must be even tougher when you both are copywriters! I'd have to think it adds a totally unique challenge!

Thanks for the clarification. I have been pouring my sympathy on a wrong Ray since I came came across this post.

I wish the other Ray better health.

There are a lot of similarities. Notable among them --- you are darn good copywriters.

I haven't posted here for quite some time. But I feel I should now, just for this reason.

Ray was my first actual copywriting teacher - before that it was books and courses.

If you're reading this, Ray, I wish the best for you in your life.

And I wish the best for your wife, too. Illnesses affect more than one person.
